White Knights
"YOU GAVE HIM THE JOB?!" Recker spun around and looked at Aldiar, his armor clanking as he did.
"I don't understand why you don't like him. He doesn't seem like a bad horse, and besides its my decision not yours." Aldiar smirked and swished his tail in Reckers face playfully. Recker snorted. He didn't know why he didn't like Irish, he just didn't.
Aldiar trotted out of the room, Irish was getting settled into his new room on the other side of the castle. Recker followed Aldiar behind him with his head low annoyed because of Irish.
Aldiar trotted down the stairs and out the castle doors. Recker followed him walking, his head down still and ears back. Some of the Knights looked at Recker as he walked by. Recker swished his tail at them. The Knights acted like nothing happened.
"I just don't trust him. He seems off." Recker walked after Aldair.
"You've barely even talked to him! And besides it was my decision." Aldiar smirked looking back at his friend before rearing and galloping off. Recker perked his head up and his ears flew forward. He raced after Aldiar.
The two friends galloped around the castle grounds. Smoke rose in the sky in the distance. Aldiar slid to a stop and perked his ears toward the smoke. Recker slid next to Aldiar almost running in to him.
"I will get a group of Knights. You should get back to the castle." Recker looked at Aldiar.
"Why can't I ever help?" Aldiar laid his ears back slightly.
"If it were my decision I would want you by my side but your parents won't allow it..." Recker looked at Aldiar and the down sad.
Aldiar didn't respond. He simply turned on his hind legs and began walking back to the castle. Recker galloped past him to get the other Knights.
As Aldiar continued walking back Recker and a group of the finest white knights galloped past Aldiar toward the smoke still rising in the sky. Aldiar sighed.
Aldiar lowered his head to the ground as he walked. It wasn't fair. His patents treated him like he was a helpless little colt. He sighed and shook his head as he walked.
When Aldiar neared the castle something was hiding in the trees near him. Aldiar perked his head up and his ears forward looking at what it might be. Three foals ran out of the trees laughing. Aldiar exhaled sad that he never got to see the action of a battle field up close and personal.
"Are you okay Prince?" Beatrix titled her head seeing Aldiar walk into the castle with his head low to the ground.
"Huh?" Aldiar looked up and saw Beatrix. He stood up straight and cleared his throat. "Oh! Ya! I'm fine thank you for your concern!" Aldiar smiled at Beatrix.
"Alright! Just making sure." Beatrix giggled a little and walked past Aldiar. Aldiar watched her walk. He was screaming on the inside, why did he have to be so awkward around her?!
Once Beatrix was out of the room Aldiar reared and bucked the wall annoyed. But his anger was replaced by UH OH!!!! When he realized he just bucked a hold in the wall.
Aldiar looked at the massive hole that now laid in the center of the wall. "My parents are going to kill me..." Aldiar frantically looked around for something that could hide the hole.
Aldiar grabbed a painting and hung it up hiding the hole. It was so obvious but his parents were always so busy so maybe they wouldn't notice?... And besides if they did he could always just blame it on Recker because he was always breaking stuff in the castle and they couldn't get to mad at him.
Aldiar casually trotted away like nothing happened. When Aldiar made it to a different wing of the castle he started walking again. He sighed as he walked up the stairs to his room.
"Are you okay sir?..." Irish looked at Aldiar as he walked up the stairs. Not like Irish actually cared about Aldiars well being he just felt like he was forced to ask if he was okay.
"Yep!" Aldiar kept walking up the stairs. Why were there so many stairs? Honestly. Aldiar hated stairs. Why wouldn't they just have ramps? Stairs were just so much work to walk up.
"Do you need me to do anything?" Irish watched Aldiar walk up the stairs.
"Nope! But I'll let you know as soon as I figure out something for you to do!" Aldiar made it to the top of the stairs and trotted to his room. He wasn't in the mood to talk to other horses right now he just wanted to lay down on his bed because his bed loved him unlike his parents.
"Alright!" Irish rolled his eyes and walked down the wall going back to what he was doing before the prince got in the way.
Aldiar kicked his rooms door shut and flopped down sideways onto his bed. He rolled over onto his back and stared at the ceiling and sighed loudly.
There was a soft knock on Aldiars door. Aldiar looked at the door then back up at the ceiling still laying on his back not wanting to get up.
"It's open." Aldiar was not about to get up and open the door. Beatrix opened the door and walked into the room. She giggled when she saw Aldiar laying on his back like that on his bed. Aldiar looked at Beatrix and rolled over on to his side.
"Your mom wanted me to bring you this." Beatrix was carrying a new prince cape that was more stylish than the old one Aldiar loved.
"You can just set it on my dresser, thank you!" Aldiar smiled like there is absolutely no way I am wearing that ugly thing.
"Alright!" Beatrix smiled and set Aldiars new princes cape on his dresser like she was told. She liked the old one Aldiar wore better, it complimented his black and white pattern better than the new one would. She hoped that he wouldn't change but she didn't want to say anything.
