Assassins

Abacus and Apollo made sure they had everything they needed. They both were going to Kevland to see what was going on with the weapons and Cesar. Apollo grabbed his cross bow, sword, throwing knives and machete.

"Are you really going to need all that?" Abacus looked at Apollo.

"I like to be prepared." Apollo laughed. Abacus laughed a little.

"Are you two sure you will be okay here. Alone. For the entire day. And possibly tomorrow..." Abacus looked at Ajax and Cowboy.

"Yes Abacus I will make sure Cowboy doesn't do anything stupid." Ajax swished his tail at Cowboy who rolled his eyes.

"Okay. We will be back as soon as possible!" Abacus followed Apollo out side. Ajax and Cowboy watched them leave. Abacus sighed hoping the wouldn't burn the Cave down.

"It's gonna be alright Abacus have some faith in them!" Apollo laughed and trotted off toward Kevland. Abacus looked back at the Cave and then followed Apollo.

When the two were out of the city they galloped toward Kevland. What was suppose to be a week trip was gonna become a day trip for them. Their hooves flew across the ground as they went.

After seven long hours of nothing but galloping they reached the cliff which served as Kevlands boarders. The two climbed up the steep goat trails. Apollo slipped on a rock but Abacus grabbed his hood in his mouth saving him from falling. Apollo watched the rock tumble down to the earth below.

"Thank you Abacus!" Apollo smiled at Abacus who nodded. The two continued on their way. The castle was 4 more hours of constant hard galloping.

After 3 hours Apollo started walking, out of breath completely for the first time in a very long time. Abacus was thankful that Apollo had stopped and he did as well without a second thought. They were in the middle of a forest, a river of rushing water was down hill from them. Apollo trotted over to it and took a drink. Abacus heard something and perked his head up.

Abacus heard hooves hit the ground and then it went silent. He perked his ears forward and started walking toward where he heard the noise. He saw a black foal with a golden sword, he had a star in the center of his face and a white sock on his front left leg.

The foal stared at Abacus. Neither of them moved. They both stared directly at one another. Abacus was very confused and so was the foal. But as fast as the foal appeared he disappeared. Abacus blinked a few times thinking he was going crazy and trotted over by Apollo to get a drink of water.

Abacus thought as he drank from the river- Why would foals be in the middle of the forest? But after finally rehydrating he decided it was just his mind playing tricks on him.

"Ready to keep going?" Apollo looked at Abacus. They both had finally caught their breath. Abacus nodded.

The two continued on their journey galloping. Finally they both made it to the castle.

"Look for anything suspicious. You know what to do if you get caught. Meet back here in 30 minutes." Abacus looked at Apollo.

"Got it." Apollo nodded. The two split up and went to go do what they came here for. Apollo jumped the wall and galloped into the castle. Abacus scouted outside.

Apollo looked around as he walked through the hallways. As he walked he saw a office room on the third floor. Almost passing it he stopped and walked in side quietly.

He thought it was weird that there were no guards in the halls but this was a completely differed kingdom so he didn't know what to expect. He opened a drawer in the desk. It was full of files.

Apollo looked through the files. Three stood out. One marked Important, one marked blue prints and one not marked at all. He grabbed all three of the files and put them in his jacket. He closed the drawer silently and walked out of the room.

Abacus looked around outside. Nothing was happening. No pony was outside and it was dark. Apollo trotted out side and cantered at the wall. An alarm was sounded, lights were pointed at Apollo.

Apollo whistled for Abacus but he already knew what was happening. Apollo galloped down the wall to the other side. He slowed to a canter and flew over the wall almost landing on top of Abacus.

"Did you get anything?" Abacus looked at Apollo.

"Yes I did now let's go please!" Apollo looked at the wall. Guards were running every where. They shot at the two. Apollo reared and they both took off. Guards chased them closely but not for long before giving up.

The two high tailed it through the forest faster than how they showed up. They passed the foals that Abacus saw earlier. The black one whinnied at Abacus. Abacus looked back and whinnied back to him. They kept going. Apollo jumped down the cliff, Abacus did as well.

They both raced across the land back home to Havanan. The two galloped down the cobble stone streets sweating so badly they started to foam. The sun started to rise.

The Cave was up ahead and Apollo and Abacus slowed to a walk. They both were breathing really hard.

"Stop... Setting... Off... Alarms..." Abacus managed in between breaths. Apollo laughed barely. He took out the three files and handed them to Abacus. Abacus took them and nodded. The sun fully rised and the two walked inside when they could breath normally again.

Abacus went to his desk and set the papers in it. Apollo followed him and laid down by the wall. Abacus opened the files and started to go over the papers. Apollo fell asleep on the floor.

Abacus looked at Apollo and smiled. Ajax walked down stairs and nodded at Abacus. Abacus nodded back.

Cowboy was still asleep up stairs but it helped the Cave stay quiet when Apollo and him were asleep.
