White Knights
Recker trotted through the Knights quarters at 4 in the morning. Every pony was fast asleep. He quietly opened the door to one of the rooms. He trotted in and tapped his hoof on the four horses beds in there. They all woke up and looked at Recker.
He signaled them to be quiet and they all walked out of the castle to the fields.
"What's wrong Recker?" Akuma looked at him and yawned.
"The prince has a job for all of you." Recker looked back and smiled at the four. They all were half asleep.
"At 4 in the morning?" Nitro was tripping over his hooves and bumping into Storm and Ember.
"Yes, the others can't know." Recker kept walking.
"How come we are in the fields? Isn't the prince in the castle?..." Ember had bags under his eyes.
"We are retrieving some things." Recker walked into the woods where they dumped the bodies of the dead Black Knights. It was pitch black outside and looking for dead horses wearing black armor wasn't exactly the easiest.
"What are we retrieving?" Storm watched Recker look for things. Storm wasn't looking where he was going and tripped over one of the dead black Knights. Recker, Ember, Nitro, and Akuma watched Storm face plant into the ground.
"Good job Storm you found what we are looking for!" Recker trotted over to the dead horses. He started to pull the helmets and body armor off of the Knights. He handed them to the others.
"We came out here for black knight armor?..." Ember looked at Recker confused. Storm picked himself up off the ground.
"Yep!" Recker finished getting the armor. Storm shook the dirt off of him.
"Thanks for asking if I was alright!" Storm narrowed his eyes at every pony.
"Are you alright Storm?" Akuma looked at Storm.
"No! F*** you!" Storm swished his tail and grabbed the armor he was given.
"Now time to go see the prince!" Recker canter out of the forest through the fields. The four others followed Recker carrying the armor.
When the five horses made it to the castle they all walked quietly up the stairs to Aldiar's room. Recker knocked on the door five times quietly. Aldiar opened the door and the five of them all trotted in.
"These are the Knights you want to use Recker?" Aldiar smiled and looked at all of them. Recker nodded.
"I'm not trying to sound pushy Prince but what exactly are we doing?" Storm looked at Aldiar. Storm still had dirt in his fur from face planting.
"We need the four of you to act as black Knights to get information for us. That is why you had to retrieve the armor." Aldiar pointed to the armor the four horses were holding.
After a while of explaining Ember, Akuma, Storm, and Nitro all put the armor on. Recker led them down stairs and to the front of the castle.
"You all might want to take the back trials out of here. Be safe." Recker smiled at the four. One by one the four horses thanked Recker and galloped off as the sun was getting ready to rise. Recker went back to the Knights quarters and climbed into his bed.
Recker fell asleep fast. None of the Knights budged when the sun rised. Recker wasn't up so they took advantage of it and kept sleeping. Every pony slept in for a long time, thankfully no black Knights tried to attack.
Sam woke up and looked around. He got out of bed and trotted down the hall to make sure Recker was okay. It wasn't like him to sleep this late. Sam peaked into Reckers room and saw him sleeping.
"Recker!" Sam whisper yelled into the room. Recker twitched his ears and rolled over in his sleep. "Okay! Just making sure you were still alive!" He whisper yelled again and walked down the hall.
The Knights who couldn't sleep any more took advantage of their freedom and played games or just relaxed. Prince Aldiar was still asleep as well. The two friends stayed up all night planing out what they were going to have the Knights do and all that.
Beatrix walked into Aldiars room with his morning tea. She smiled and set it down on his night stand that was right next to his bed. Aldiar slightly opened his eyes and smiled when he saw her.
"Morning Beatrix!" Aldiar said half awake.
"I didn't mean to wake you Prince I'm sorry!" Beatrix shied away from eye contact with him.
"You didn't wake me!" Aldiar sat up and smiled at her.
"Well I brought you your morning tea!" She looked up at Aldiar for the first time and made eye contact while they were kind of speaking. His eyes looked like melted milk chocolate. Beatrix loved the way his forelock fell over his face and the fact that he was just so perfect.
"Thank you!" He smiled at her actually managing to not be awkward because he wasn't trying. Beatrix got really flustered because of the way he smiled.
"You're welcome Ald... Prince!" She smiled, bowed, and cantered out of the room. She closed the door softly but quickly behind her and leaned against it. She breathed out in relief as she slid to the floor.
Aldiar looked at the door. He drank is tea and got dressed. Beatrix picked her self up from the floor and trotted down to the kitchen where the other mare slaves were working. She has a massive smile on her face.
"What's that smile about?" Caterina, Beatrix's best friend who was also a slave, looked at her and smiled.
"Nothing..." Beatrix giggle and moved her hooves really fast before claiming down to a walk.
"Nothing as in the stallion you like?" Caterina smiled. The other slave mares in the kitchen looked at Beatrix.
Questions began to fly through the air. "What's his name?" "What does he look like?" "Who is he?" "Is he tall?" Caterina laughed at Beatrix. Beatrix couldn't tell them she liked the prince. They would all make fun of her, or so she thought.
"He's a tall black and white stallion who is VERY handsome!" Beatrix smiled and began her job.
Around 2 in the afternoon Recker woke up. The Knights were given the day off for the rest of the day as long as no pony tried to attack.
