CHAPTER 11

Alyss PoV

Soon it was dinner and I walked down with a very happy Matt. We sat down in the middle of the table. Then Teddy and Tom came in. Teddy sat next to me and Tom looked annoyed but sat beside him.

“Hey Alyss.” They said in unison.

“Hi.” I grinned.

“Hey.” Matt said after me.

“Hi Matt.” They said together.

“Wow. You guys sound like Victoire and Dominique.” I said. “When there’s a party.”

Teddy groaned, “Don’t remind me.” He was always a target of the two’s make over. But it was worse because he always had to change his appearance.

“Sounds like your family is mental.” Matt added.

“Mental is an understatement.” I muttered.

“And she means that.” Teddy put in.

“That I want to see.” Tom added.

“No you don’t!” Teddy and I said in unison.

“Ah, why not?” Matt said.

“Christmas is a nightmare.” I said.

“Yet, Victoire, Dominique and Roxanne don’t go crazy with you.” Teddy said. “And they’re only 10, 9 and 8.”

“Little kids can do that?” Matt laughed.

“You haven’t met Victoire.” Teddy sighed.

“She can go a bit mental. But she’s still family weather you like it or not.” I said strictly.

“Can I not?” Teddy said quietly. I laughed. He is a joker. When George influences him and when he doesn’t. (Mostly when does.)

“No.” Matt answered with a wink.

“NO!  I wanna!” He said.

“You know, now you sound like James. And he’s no picnic. James when he’s in a bad mood. This reminds me. Did you get James to put that potion in my shampoo bottle that made my hair turn green and silver for a day?” I said glaring at him.

“I don’t think I did.”

“TEDDY REMUS LUPIN HOW COULD YOU!?!” I shouted at him.

“It was easy.”

“Sometimes I really hate you.”

“But I’m family…” He said and Matt and Tom laughed.

“Technically not, Lupin.” I snarled.

“Watch out calm down, Alyss!” Tom warned.

“Oh sorry Teddy.” I said quietly and ate my buttered peas.

“Yeah, At least Alyss calms down when I tell her Rainbow boy.” Tom said.

“Matt, do you hear someone talking?” Teddy asked.

“Don’t pull me into this.”

I decided it was time to end this. “We should go back. It’s 7:45. I need to head to Defense. And in an hour you have detention.”

“It’s Teddy’s fault!”

“It was so not!”

“You pasted me the note!”

“You weren’t supposed to reply!”

“I’m leaving.” I said quickly.

“I second that.”
