Alyss Granger: First Year

The Truth at Last

"We need to bloody find Alyss!" I yelled.

"Alyss is fine." McGonagall said as a patronus surged in.

"I have your Alyss. Give me the cloak and I will give her back, unharmed, fail to place the cloak in the clearing where the stone fell within three days and Granger will be killed." Said a curious voice. And then Alyss' voice said one word. "Help!"

"Told you." I said as Matt burst in.

"I bloody can't find her." He yelled clearly at the breaking point.

"Sorry to tell you but we just found out exactly what happened." Tom said. "As Teddy just proved, she's been kidnapped, as we suspected."

Matt's mouth managed to form one word 'no' because Alyss was the first one to understand him and Tom might but I honestly have no clue what's up with him. He's more quiet than anyone I know, and that includes Alyss when she read. Reads, reads, Alyss will survive.

"What are we going to tell Hermione?" Ron said hopelessly, it wasn't a question but a statement. 

"That's why we have Ginny." Harry said happily, smiling.

That's when I lost it. "DON'T SMILE WHEN ALYSS IS GONE!"

"Yeah, Teddy why don't we do some research." Tom said.

"DON'T USE THAT WORD! IT'S ALYSS'!" I yelled at the mention of research.

"Yes, Mister Lupin." Tom said sternly. "I will go to figure out an idea then."

Hermione's PoV

Tom came out of the room and I imediatly demanded what he was doing. "I'm going to the library. I can't see any way to tell this to you better, but a patronus came and said that the person had Alyss and they said to put the cloak in the clearing where the stone was in three days. And Alyss spoke too, help."

"Or else they'll kill her right?" I said.

"Yes."

I normally keep very calm but Alyss was my sister and she was sweet, kind, smart. Me. Alyss was a mini-me. I lost it and I was crying in Ginny's arms. I know she shooed Tom away and at some point Ron came and got me and took me to my rooms where he just held me for so long, I don't know how long but it was a while.

Alyss' PoV

I was really groggy when I woke up again.

"I have just sent that patronus to the headmistress. I'm sure your sister has heard by now. Lupin must be panicking. And those two other guys..."

"Matt and Tom." I said.

"Yes, them too. I really need to keep up with you teenager's stupid obsentions."

"Which is what excatly? And can I have a name at least to call you?"

"Sure, let's see... Vol." Newly named Vol said.

"Like Voldemort, But that didn't work out so well did it?"

"Nor did it work out so well for you, tied up, here with me, stolen away from Hogwarts AND thinking about if you're going to die in three days. I fancy my chances more." The evil git said. And I fancied his chances too. How was I to know if he wouldn't kill me the moment he had the cloak?

I just had to hope.
