Why Are You Here?

CHAPTER 16

Alyss’ PoV

Hermione had said not to tolerate anyone calling me mudblood. She just never realized it would come from Teddy.

Professor McGonagall stood up. “As some of the students have noticed Professor Mallowsweet is not here and some students had an extra free period Friday.” Yes, and I was one of those students. Some students even whooped in happiness. “However, this is not something we should be pleased about. She has gone missing. And we have been searching for her. This has yielded no results and the search continues. We will hope to find a good replacement by Monday. I know that you are troubled and we are making an effort to find her.

The second dinner was over I rushed to the common room. I grabbed a piece of parchment and a quill and started writing.

Hermione,

I had a dilemma at school today. Somebody called me mudblood. We both knew it would happen but I think none of us expected it to come this soon.

The biggest thing is who said it. I mean – I was mad at him. But it was TEDDY. I don’t know what to do. I’m really mad at him and I haven’t talked to him at all this afternoon.

As for Matt and Tom, I’m not sure if I should be mad at them. They didn’t call me mudblood. But they are still being all friendly with Teddy.

When I was crying Matt and Tom were still down there with Teddy and they weren’t all worried. They even laughed! They explained that later and the reason was that Teddy made a funny comment about Tom always being right. I know that Teddy can be all funny and all but it wasn’t kind at all for them to laugh when I was in such pain.

I am starting to wonder if their even friends I should have if they aren’t supporting me. I really am missing Victoire through all of this drama. And as you know, I hate drama.

I know I WOULD have made up with Teddy but it took him around three hours to apologize and I really haven’t any idea what to do. And he called me Alyssa and you know I hate that. Teddy does too but he still said it.

I don’t understand these boys sometimes and I haven’t any girl friends in Hogwarts until next year. I could try to make friends with my roommates but I don’t know how long it’ll take me to forgive Teddy and they’ll think it’s a bit odd for me to have taken this long to befriend them. And I’ll have to explain all about the incident and I don’t like the idea of them pitying me. I mean, I know I could make friends with an older student but I really don’t know many of them, much less one that I want to befriend.

Sometimes I wish I had come to Hogwarts with Victoire. Things would have been so much easier with her. I actually understand Victoire! Was it this hard with Harry and Ron? They seem a bit easier to understand though I DO know that Ron is a bit tactless.

How are Hugo and Rose? Did Ron do anything drastic? I hope everything is good with the Weasley family. And that doesn’t mean I want to hear about Percy! I most defiantly think that would be best left out.

I’m going to keep to myself until you answer because I really don’t know what to do.

And Harry probably already knows as head auror and all. There has been a disappearance at Hogwarts! Professor Mallowsweet! She was the Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher. All of the students are in an uproar. These things only happened during Voldemort’s reign and we’re all quite worried. We’re also curious as to who the new teacher will be until she is found.

Harry’s PoV

Suddenly a cat patronus came in gracefully. It spoke with Professor McGonagall’s voice.

“Come to Hogwarts. I have thing we must discuss tonight.”

I was a bit confused. I had to go though.

“GINNY!” I called. She poked her head around the corner.

“No need to yell. I’m right here.”

“I’m going to Hogwarts.” with that, I apparated right to Hogsmeade.

 Hermione’s PoV

A cat patronus floated gracefully into my living room.

“Come to Hogwarts. I have thing we must discuss tonight.”

I stood there shocked as Ron raised his head from his doze.

“Go on ‘mione. She didn’t send one to me.” He mumbled.

“Why me and not you or Harry?” I said.

“Go on.” He mumbled falling asleep.

I rolled my eyes and apparated. I nearly bumped into Harry.

“What are you doing?” He said in utter confusion.

“Professor McGonagall wanted me.” I said why was he here?

“That’s odd. She also called me here. Why you and me and not Ron?”

“I don’t know.”  I mumbled.
