Alyss Granger: First Year

The Plan All Along

Hermione's PoV

Suddenly one of my 6th years. It didn't stirke me as odd that the manager of the school paper needed to talk to the headmistress. But when she opened her mouth that all changed.

"Professor Malfoy got in contact with the Minister. They moved her. He'll be here in a minute or so. And we found another note, it says, 'You have clearly noticed we moved from our other location. We have moved though you probably know this now. If you do not place the cloak in the clearing in excatly an hour then I WILL kill her. The clock it ticking.' then the ink turns red, actually I don't think it's ink." she said biting her lip and looking close to tears. 'It's not his handwriting either, it's Alyss' it says 'help.' I think it's blood. I think it's Alyss'. I'm sorry."

"You didn't act sorry when you wrote all those terrible articles about her!" Teddy roared. "Only when it has a benifit for you isn't it, Johnson?"

"Teddy. You stay here and just help Hermione. Thank you, Miss Johnson. I think it would be best if you left now. Ron, Ginny we have to go find Kingsley and Draco." Harry said.

"Wait the rumors were true? You are trusting that git?" Ron said.

"Which is excatly why we didn't tell you, Ronald. And this isn't the right time to argue about trusting him. He's different now and he's helping us find Alyss. That should be good enough for you. It is for me and if it isn't I can still do excellent magic and I'm sure Ginny would assist me in casting her famous bat-bogey hex. If you wish to accept it than can you go get rid of that bit of filth that took her. But don't kill him. I want to show him what happens to people that threaten us. And I would hate for you to get thrown in Azkaban. Azkaban. Harry. They don't use the origonal Azkaban fortress do they?" I said.

"No they don't."

"I think I know where they're holding Alyss. They were in the forest before and now they went to Azkaban. They won't expect me to figure that out so quickly. Go rescue her. And hurry up with it." I said urgently.

"Anything, 'Mione." Ron said solemnly.

"Then get going!" I said glaring. And he didn't even suspect me. Honestly they were so unsuspecting. Little Hermione wasn't going to do anything? She was going to sit by and watch her friends and sister possibly get killed. NO. And then you stick her with Teddy... Sure I was going to do nothing. As much as I was going to help Hagrid get another dragon.

Alyss' PoV

He fumbled for a second before grinning. "Granger, Granger, tsk tsk. I thought you were smarter than that. We must leave my little safe house now but don't worry. The other place is much worse."

I knew he wasn't lying the second I breathed in the air. I was confused, salt? Why was there salt in the air? What no... I couldn't hurt Vol now that I was here. The dementors would get me if I tried and he knew that I couldn't do a Patronus. I wouldn't hurt him when the life of my soul depended on it.

"You never planned to kill me did you?" I asked.

"No, if they don't come for you, you'll simply get kissed and I'll give them you. Or you're fully alive body. See, I said I wouldn't hurt you physically."

"I thought you said that because of the mental damage a kidnapping can cause." I said.

"Oh no, you misunderstand, I never meant to kill you, and I never meant for you to get away from me either. From the second you grabbed that Portkey you would never have your soul at the end of this. So why don't I find a nice little dementor for you." He said and I paled. I really never had a hope. He had always planned for Harry, Ron and Hermione to rescue me. I would be the distraction and he would escape and then I would realize too late that the dementors couldn't hurt me because I was already gone. Worse than dead. And that would be the last thing I knew. My worst memories would be the last experiance I ever had and this would be the last hour. In the worst way possible.
