Teddy and Tom's Prank

CHAPTER 6

“Hey. Teddy. Don’t think about that. We have a free period! What should we do?” Tom said.

“We can see if Hagrid has a class.” I said quickly.

“No he just left. He defiantly has one.” Teddy said informatively. “I have an idea! We can pull a prank!”

“And already he starts that. George I blame you.” I said mentally cursing him.

“Who should we do it on? I have an idea. Slytherins.” He muttered. Then leaned in. “I have something to turn their eyes red and teeth gold. I also have that for hair. I’m saving those for the Quidditch match. But right now we’ll make all the desserts taste like rubber or cardboard! It’s in my trunk. All we need to do is put it on the table. Just pretend to need to stay longer than other students and we’ll go out one by one. Tom you try first.” Teddy said handing him a blue packet. It looked like a present. “If they open it it’ll blow up in their face. It’ll be purple.”

Tom took the small packet and walked smoothly towards the door without a word. He quickly deposited it on the Slytherin table. He then walked out of the Great Hall with a purpose.

“Wow. He’s good at that. Do you think he got it?” Teddy asked me confused.

“Must have. That was brilliant.” I said in astonishment. I was quite thankful I hadn’t had to do it.

We ran outside to a rather large birch tree which Tom was sitting under nonchalantly. He was reading a book. We hurried over to him.

“Did you do it? We couldn’t tell. You are such a good actor! It didn’t look like anything suspicious at all!” Teddy said swiftly.

“Yeah. I did. It honestly wasn’t that hard. I just dropped it.” Tom said shrugging.

“It was brilliant!”Teddy almost sang and Tom grinned.

“You boys have an odd sense of humor.”

“OH! I need to write to my grandmother! I nearly forgot.” Teddy exclaimed suddenly.

He grabbed a quill and parchment and started writing. When he finished he held it out to me. “Alyss do you think this is good?”

Grandmother,

I had a wonderful day at Hogwarts. It was so good I nearly forgot to write! I’m in Gryffindor. And Alyss is too! I am having tons of fun. We had a good schedule until Alyss and Tom Patil, my other friend, pointed out we have double Transfiguration today. I can deal with that, but on Monday we have double Potions! With Draco Malfoy! He is going to be so mean to the Gryffindors. I would rather have triple Transfiguration and the double Divination! Wish me luck. Because I’m going to need it.

Teddy

“Teddy. That is hilarious!”I said wheezing.

“Looks like you got a giggling jinx on you!” Tom said grinning.

“Then do finite incantatem!” I laughed.

“I think you had an overdose of U-No-Poo.” Teddy said trying not to grin.

“Did you?” I said.

He shook his head and I knew his guilty face so I believed him.

“You believe him!?” Tom gaped at me.

“I know his guilty face.” I answered honestly.

Teddy grinned sheepishly.

Suddenly a girl with short shoulder length brown hair with blonde highlights freckles and soft light blue eyes came up to us. I remembered she had a twin in either Ravenclaw or Hufflepuff. That one had black highlights. So this one was Abby or Hanna.

“I’m Abby and I have a note from Professor McGonagall for Teddy.” She said and I noticed she was the Hufflepuff. Her twin must be the Ravenclaw.

“Thanks.” Teddy muttered darkly. He wasn’t at all happy about the lessons. “I have them first thing Friday! Right before-” He checked his schedule. “Transfiguration.” He finished annoyed.

“Sorry to break this up but we need to go to Defense Against the Dark Arts.” Tom interjected earnestly.

We rushed over there and found our way. Well, I actually asked Filch and he told me while Tom and Teddy were around the corner.

We sat down and almost immediately class started.
