Teddy's PoV

How could she not know? She seemed to be my age and British so how was it Voldemort was just a name to her? My mother and father had died so how had she not even heard of it never mind seen no deaths?

"The war. Harry against Voldemort." I said slowly edging towards the brooms. There was no way I would be able to locate my wand and just realized how stupid I had been. We couldn't fight a full wizard. Only Evelin had a wand. And we were both 11. But I hadn't seen her in Hogwarts.

"I don't know what you're talking about. I sort of lied to you. I'm not British. I came from the United States. I don't go to Hogwarts." Evelin said. She no londer had the British accent. "My name IS Evelin, though. I only know a few spells because I haven't gone to school. I don't know who Voldemere is or Harry. But I do know enough to know we should get out of here. And soon."

"Okay, we'll go. But it's Voldemort. Not Voldemere. If I had a better plan I wouldn't trust you." I said suspiciously. I wouldn't openly not trust her until I saw a reason to or I found the others.

Evelin looked impatient and darted past me to the brooms which she pulled out of the spider filled closet and threw one to me. "There's Dementors over there, Rainbow."

Then I lost all trust. How would she know that Tom had called me Rainbow? If she called him Riddle then she was definatly evil. But that would blow her cover about being from America.

"Do you fly?" She said catiously.

"Of course I do. My friend and I are the best in our year." I said. Teddy Lupin not fly on a broom was crazy to think about. Evelin struggled with the window. "It's locked."

"OH! Alohamoria!" she said. Alohamoria? She hadn't been to school. Fire shot out of her wand.

"It's Alohamora!" I yelled.

Evelin's PoV

I must have looked stupid getting Alohamora wrong. But I hadn't gone to school. So he couldn't blame me. "Alohamora!" I said. Trying not to make my voice shake.

The window sprang open. Thank Merlin! I got on the broom but Teddy had already flown out the window. I gripped the handle of the broom. I couldn't fly. I never had but I wouldn't let Teddy think I was stupid and unable to do anything, Mercury and I had made it here so I could defiinatly do things!

I jumped out the window just as Teddy had and fell toward the ground.

"TEDDY!" I yelled and he turned. He looked at me oddly but sped toward me.

"Lean forward and angle your broom up!" He yelled. I did so am felt the broom rising. I definatly should have experimented with brooms more than just sweeping with them.

My broom was shaking though and I didn't know what to do. Tears fileld my eyes but I was too scared to wipe them away. I couldn't ride a broom. It was impossible. Teddy and his friend must have just been really talented. Or really daring. Maybe even both.

Teddy went toward me and went a little father up towards the edge of his broom. "You won't make it to Hogwarts like that. Come on." He said impatiently.

"Thanks." I said weakly getting on.

"Hold on." He said baracingly and I held onto him loosely. I saw the side of his face curve into a little smile and then he went straight forward really fast. "LUPIN!" I yelled.
