Michael's POV

*One Year Later*

I stood in a room, talking with relatives and dressed up to the nines. It was a small room in the back, Lara was someplace else and she had refused to let me see her.

Today, I had to marry Lara. I mean, I agreed to marrying Lara. Everyone was walking around, drinking champagne and waiting for the ceremony to begin.

I was dreading every second.

"Hey Michael!" Ashton smiled as he approached me, I turned and noticed a frantic looking Luke on his right.

"Hey." I replied.

"How's it feel to be getting married?" Ashton asked, he nudged me and winked but I just shook my head. "Nervous? I see. Well I have to go help set up more things, see you in a bit Michael."

And Ashton walked off. Leaving me with Luke. Luke was wearing an entirely black outfit. A black button up shirt and black dress pants.

I have to say he looked better than I did.

"Hi Luke," I smiled at him and he gave a small smile and waved and then looked away. "So you still don't like me?"

"Huh?" Luke looked confused. "I haven't the foggiest idea of what you're talking about."

"You just..Don't care about me anymore." I said. I spoke quietly as so my already drunk relatives would not hear.

"I never said that." Luke shook his head. "I do too care, that's why I'm here."

"You don't care in the way I want you to then." I sighed. "I want you to love me."

"Why would you want that?" Luke asked.

"Because I miss you, I need you back in my life." I said and Luke's eyes went wide before he grabbed my wrist and pulled me into the bathroom. He checked each of the stalls and turned to me.

"You are marrying Lara!" He snapped. "And you want me back?"

"I don't love her!" I sighed. "I never did."

"Why did you lead her on so badly!?" Luke asked in bewilderment.

"Because I thought I would have to settle with something else. I thought you weren't coming back.." I said quietly as I looked at my hands. "I just want to go back to when times were better, that's all."

"You think I don't?" Luke asked, a pained tone to his voice. "You think it didn't upset me to watch you be with Lara?"

"You didn't act like it." I replied.

"A mature person does not lash out on their emotions." Luke replied, he leaned on the wall and refused to look anywhere but down.

"No, if you're mature then you realize sometimes you have to fight to satisfy your emotions." I huffed.

Luke gave a small, sad smile. "Well there's nothing we can now." Something about him just said suppressed sorrow.

"There's one thing we can do." I smiled and Luke raised his eyebrows. He looked shocked in my response. I grabbed his wrist and sneaked out of the room, I duck and weaved between people who would barely remember who I was despite the role I played into today's events.

"Michael?" Ivy spoke as she saw me and then she gave a small smile. "Never mind, go on."

I gave her a smile of thanks and took off with Luke.
