Michael's POV

"Hey what time is it?" Mikki asked and I pulled out my phone and checked before reading off the time to her. "No way is it past nine."

"It is." Luke spoke up from the other side of Mikki. Mikki let out a groan as she threw down her paddle and stood up.

"I have to go Michael or my mom will kick my butt." Mikki said. "And if you all want to hang out on Saturday for the final blow-out then I have to go now, so I don't get grounded."

"Alright." I said. "See you later Mikki."

"Bye Mikey, bye Luke." Mikki smiled at Luke who shyly waved back. That was something about Luke that I just could not understand. He was without a doubt one of the most popular kids in school and yet, he was one of the shyest kids I have ever met.

"Um.." Luke muttered from the other side of the couch, messing around with his sleeves. "Do you want me to leave too?"

"You can stay if you want." I said with a shrug. "We can try a different game if you want to." Luke gave a small nod and I stood up and slid another game in.

"Michael you got a message." Luke said from the couch, and I turned to see him pointing at my phone on the couch, at least he had enough self-respect not to check out what it was. Once I had finished putting in the new game I stood up and walked over to the couch and picked up my phone.

Dallas: Michael you should come play over and play with Sonya and I.

Michael: Little busy at the moment.

Dallas: That's bull, you're online right now. I can see it!

Michael: I'm playing with another person at my house.

Dallas: Who?

Michael: My cousin.

Dallas: Pf. Nerd.

I put my phone down then, if Dallas did not pick up that lie, then he would pick up that I was lying eventually, and I did not want him to know that I was with Luke. After all, Dallas did not really know where he belonged. He would definitely pick a fight with Luke, and then the whole football team would beat the hell out of Dallas. I did not want either of those to happen.

I looked over to Luke fiddling with the sleeves of a football player's hoodie.

"Whose is that?" I asked. Luke looked to me and raised his eyebrows. "The hoodie, I mean, you don't play any sports. Who does the hoodie belong to then?"

"Ashton." Luke replied.

"Why wasn't Ashton at school the other day?" I asked as I had started up the game. Reaching over and pressing the 'start' on Luke's paddle to include him in the game as well.

"Ashton had the flu."

"Mikki said that none of your friends were at school, I thought it was kinda funny. I mean how can all of your friends be missing?" I asked.

"Michael," Luke said and I turned my head over to him. "I only have five friends. I don't have an endless amount of options to chose from. Not that I would want to have an endless amount anyways."

"Well I'm sure someone would have wanted to hang out with you." I shrugged.

"Yes because I am popular and cute and that makes everyone love my company." Luke sighed, shaking his head slowly. "I don't like the idea of people liking me for that. I want to be liked for me, not for the fact that I could make these kids look popular either. Even though that's not how it works at all."

"How come you don't play football?" I asked.

Luke snorted. "I hate sports."

I smirked. "No way."

"Way."

"That's hilarious." I laughed lightly.

"Yeah so funny." Luke rolled his eyes. "What are we suppose to be doing in this game anyways?"

"Well.." I paused. "You're suppose to try and kill me and I'm suppose to try and kill you." At this point I noticed Luke glaring at me. "What?"

"You're going to dominate!" Luke whined as he pointed at the screen.

"We'll see. Maybe you could use some sort of strategy to win." I shrugged. I heard Luke scoff and I turned to him with a glare. He looked at me from the corner of his eye before turning his head completely.

"What..?" He mumbled. I raised my eyebrow at him. "Why are you mad at me..? What did I do this time?" Luke actually seemed to look sad, like he had messed something up and that was bothering him.

"You didn't do anything." I said. "But why are you scoffing?" Luke looked back to the screen at this point and let out a sigh.

"This feels pointless." Luke shrugged one shoulder.

"Luke we talked about this already, you're not naturally good at video games."

"No, not that." Luke sighed. "Us trying to be friends, seems kinda pointless. I mean, I'm not going to lie. I know that Dallas hates me, and if he does I will assume that some of your other friends do too."

"Do you not want to be friends with me?" I asked, not taking my eyes off of Luke, even though he was not looking at me.

"I want to be friends with you, Michael." Luke said. "And I have no shame in being your friend, you just have a lot of shame in being my friend." I was not going to argue, the idea of telling everyone that Luke is my friend was not exactly..Flattering. "Otherwise this video game thing is going great, wanna know why?"

"Why?"

"Cause I just killed you." Luke smirked and I turned to the screen just in time to see Luke kill me. I let out a sigh and let my head fall back.

"That was such a cheap shot." I groaned.

"You said to use whatever tactics I could!" Luke said. "The other one only works if you're into guys, and you're not."

"Oh my gosh..Luke..You're a pervert." I said. Luke just smiled in achievement, I had to shake my head at that boy. It was now that I wondered if he was being serious about his previous statement or just distracting. I was hoping it was not the first option, because as much as I would like to deny what he said. He was ultimately right.

AUTHOR'S NOTIFICATION

It has been a really long time, wow. I could go on and tell you all about it but it's more of a long tell tale of events. But I think I'm back, I'm not even sure. I do have a lot of chapters pre-written on separate sheets of paper, now it's just the matter of typing them on a computer.

Also, I know have a little buddy of mine on this account with me to help me out with stuff. Like my secretary. Even though she does help in the concept of writing. A lot of the times she's going to be one that transfers the whole thing up onto the computer and stuff. She does help me ideas and stuff as well on the writing process so yes. Anyways, I am not one-hundred percent sure if this whole writing thing will become on schedule again. But I might as well try. Even though I will be semi-distant when it comes to responding to things you guys comment on or messages. Since I'm more so just writing things on paper and then having someone else write them up and everything. So as a result I'm not usually on wattpad a whole lot. Anyways though.
