Charlotte's POV
I had fun at the beach, I really did. Gabby and I buried Addie in the sand, then Aunty Sophie yelled at us, so we buried Uncle Brian instead. We went for swims, Gabby and I sunbaked and we got ice creams. I loved being with the Haners, they always made me happy, even if I was sad and Gabby was the best friend ever.
"Maybe you can sleep over one night this week." Aunt Sophie said as we packed the car, ready to go home.
"I hope so." I loved sleeping at their house, Gabby and I would stay up really late.
The car ride home was quiet, I was trying not to fall asleep because I was pooped, Gabby was doing the same and Addie was asleep, she fell asleep two minutes after we got in the car.
"I'll walk you up." Aunt Sophie said as we arrived at my place.
I hugged Gabby, kissed Uncle Brian's cheek and kissed Addie softly, so I didn't wake her.
"Thanks Uncle Brian."
"You're very welcome Miss Charlotte." He said smiling.
Aunt Sophie took my hand as we walked to the front door. I was sad because my daddy's car wasn't here, he'd gone and I really wanted to see him.
"How was your day?" Mommy asked, opening the door.
"Good." I said, heading inside.
I took my beach bag to the laundry while mommy talked with Aunty Sophie and when I came out, she was gone.
"How about a bath?" Mommy asked.
I nodded, looking at her. Her eye's were all red. She'd been crying.
"You okay mommy?" I asked, while she got the bath ready.
"I am." She said, kissing the top of my head. "Don't be long, dinner will be soon."
I jumped in, washing all the sand off, thinking about mommy and wondering where daddy was. I think he made my mommy cry again and that made me sad.
I got out, putting on my pyjamas, I was really tired tonight, but more importantly, I was starving.
Maybe mommy and I could watch a movie tonight and I could cuddle her to make her feel better?
I started downstairs and I smiled. I smelt pizza. Thank goodness mommy didn't cook anything.
I went to the kitchen and stopped in the doorway, looking.
My dad was here, he brought the pizza, and as hungry as I was, I didn't want to interrupt because him and mommy were kissing.
I stood there waiting, and waiting, my tummy was rumbling and they were still kissing.
I couldn't wait any longer. "Hi daddy." I said.
He finally stopped kissing mommy and smiled at me. "Hungry?"
I nodded, climbing onto a stool. "I'm starving."
We all sat there, eating pizza, mommy and daddy talking, me smiling. I was happy because we were all together.
"Did you have fun today?" Daddy asked me, taking another slice of pizza.
"I did, I had loads of fun."
"Good." Mommy said and daddy smiled at her.
"Did you have fun today?" I asked them.
Mommy smiled and daddy nodded. "We did."
"What did you do?"
"We finished cleaning up." Mommy said. "Then we had some lunch."
"Did you talk?"
"We talked." Daddy told me.
"Did you wrestle?" I asked.
"What?" Daddy said.
"Did you and mommy wrestle?" I asked again.
"Charlotte." Mom said, standing up. "Why on earth would daddy and I be wrestling?"
"Gabby told me that Aunty Sophie and Uncle Brian wrestle all the time. She said that's what adults do when they want private time." I explained.
"Jesus." Daddy whispered, putting his pizza down and looking at mommy.
Mommy looked at him and shook her head. "Maybe we should watch a movie?" She suggested.
I thought that was a great idea, but I still wanted to know about the wrestling.
We all went into the living room and picked a movie. I waited until mommy and daddy sat down, then I climbed up next to daddy, resting my head on his arm.
I tried not falling asleep, but it was really hard, I wanted to watch the movie, but I was so tired. Besides mommy and daddy weren't really watching, they were kissing, again.
I smiled, I was happy, as far as I was concerned mommy and daddy could kiss as much as they wanted, I liked to see them happy and honestly I wouldn't even care if they wrestled, not one little bit.
