Matt's POV

I took a drink, staring out the window. Charlotte was climbing out of the pool and I groaned. How did I get stuck with this job?
Ana was out having lunch with Josh, talking things over, working things through and I was stuck here, left to deal with the wrestling issue.
Well, now was as good as time as any, so I walked out the back.
"I got you a drink." I told Charlotte, sitting down.
"Thanks daddy." She said, taking a mouthful.
"Do you mind if we have a talk Charlotte?"
"Nope." She said. "What about daddy?"
Oh dear god help me, I thought, taking a deep breath. "Wrestling."
"Oooh." She said giggling.
"Yes well." I mumbled. "You know you probably shouldn't talk about wrestling to other people."
She looked at me with her big eye's. "Why not?"
"Well, when mommy and daddy wrestle, it's kind of a private thing."
"Okay." She said.
"It's something mommy and daddy do because we love eachother."
"Oh I could tell."
"Oh?"
"Yeah I could tell mommy really liked wrestling with you cause she was saying stuff."
Oh good god. I put my face in my hands. "I guess she does."
"Oh she does."
"Look, what I'm trying to say baby is that you should always knock on our door okay?"
"Okay daddy." She smiled.
"And remember, it's a private thing Charlotte. Nobody wants to know about your mom and dad wrestling."
"Gabby will." She piped up.
"No she won't." I said quickly.
"Yeah she will. She always tells me about her mom and dad."
"And she shouldn't." I told her. "That's Uncle Brian and Aunty Sophies private time."
"Okay." She whispered. "I'm sorry daddy, for walking in."
"It's okay baby, just remember, knock first okay?"
"Okay I will."
"Good, now do you want to go for a swim?" I asked her.
"Of course." She laughed.
So we swam and played, mucking around. This is what I loved most, spending time with Charlotte, the only thing missing was Ana, I loved spending time with my two girls.
We spent the afternoon swimming until Charlotte got tired and went inside, falling asleep on the couch.
I went into my game room quietly. There was someone I wanted to call, someone I didn't want Ana to know I'd called.
"Hello." She answered.
"Stacey, it's Matt."
"Matt, is everything okay, is Ana okay?" She asked.
"Well if you'd bothered to call every once in awhile you'd know everything was fine." I snapped.
Fuck Stacey annoyed me. She might be Ana's sister but I disliked her, alot. She blamed Ana for their mothers death and I hated that, over the years she'd always tried to make up with Ana, but then boom, she'd go back to not giving a fuck about her and I knew she hadn't spoken to Ana since their dad died.
"Matt, don't start."
"Don't start what." I growled. "The fact that you blame your sister for everything that's shit in your life."
"Matt stop. I've tried, you know I have."
"Not very hard."
"Do you think I don't know I've fucked it up with my sister Matt?" She cried. "I think about it everyday. There's nothing I can do, there will always be that distance."
Distance, I thought laughing, it was more than distance.
"Well there is something you can do Stacey. Something very important to Ana snd myself, and you should consider it, if you want to make it up to her." I said.
I knew Ana would kill me if she knew I was having this conversation, she really would.
"What is it?"
"Carry our baby." I said quietly.
The phone went silent and I wondered if she'd hung up.
"That's a lot to ask of me Matt." She finally replied.
"Of course it is." I snapped hanging up. I don't know what I'd been thinking, as if Stacey would do anything that didn't benefit her in some way.
"We're home." Ana called out and I threw the phone down, going out to meet them.
They both looked beat, tired, red eyes, sad and I couldn't help it, I pulled her straight into my arms, kissing her softly while Josh headed upstairs.
"You okay?" I murmured, stroking her cheek.
She nodded. "I think so." She whispered. "He's agreed to see a counselor at least."
"That's good."
"Oh god Matt." She cried, her eyes filling up with tears. "He's been through so much."
"I'm sorry baby." I murmured, holding her close.
We stood there for a little while, I mean I was happy to stay here forever, but Ana finally spoke.
"How did it go with Charlotte?" She asked.
"Good I think. She understands that it's our private thing and to always knock first." I explained.
"Good." She sighed, heading to the kitchen.
I grabbed her hand, pulling her back. "Oh and she also said that she knew mommy liked wrestling, because she was making so much noise."
"Oh god." She groaned.
"I do believe." I murmured, pulling her to me. "That that was exactly what you were saying."
She kissed me, smiling. "Maybe."
"Maybe I can find out again later?" I whispered in her ear.
"Maybe you can."
I kissed her again. I didn't mention Stacey. Ana was in a great mood and Stacey would ruin. I liked seeing Ana happy. It was the only thing I ever wanted. To see my baby happy.
