*Tommy's POV*

After Adam left to his class, I was alone again. It wouldn't have bothered me as much usually, but since I just had someone to talk to and be around, I really miss that feeling. I don't care if I don't know him that well, he was nice and I need someone like that.

I was so lost in thought walking down the hallway I barely noticed Collin and his buddies trailing behind me. I started to walk faster, weaving in and out of people. They just pushed them over and started calling out to me. They probably had seen me and Adam walking out of the auditorium.

They most likely went for me because I was smaller and shorter than him. "You found another faggot to play around with didn't you?" I heard then a bunch of laughter and shoes hitting the floor.

I saw the gym and ran for it. Luckily the guys had something going on for football so none of them were there with me. As I went in I started to breath fast. Those guys could easily send me to a hospital. I was safe from them for now though. They gym teacher was a good guy and watched out for me. Unlike the majority others, or my parents...

I always tried to stay after each class so that there wouldn't be many people in the halls. It doesn't matter at lunch though. There are always haters. Today is no different. I set myself down in my usual place outside, eating an apple (I don't need much to support my little figure) when Collin comes up to me again. He knocked the apple out of my hand and poured my Pepsi over my hair.

I was about to lose my cool but I took a deep breath in and stared straight ahead. "Oh, did I mess up your hair?" he said and crushed the can in his hands and threw it at me.

I kept my eyes away from his. It may be sad, but this is a typical day in my hell-of-a-life.

"Trying to be strong, aren't you pretty boy?" he growled and hit me in the arm. I stood up, giving myself a better position. I would have ran for it but by now three others crowded around.

"Huh? Are you?" With every word he stepped closer, and now I could smell his cigarette breath.

He pushed my chest and I lost my balance and stepped back but didn't fall. They surrounded me and pushed me into each other. When I was whipped around, my wet, sticky hair hit one of the guys and he grabbed a hold of it and pulled on it hard, making me moan in pain. He threw my head forward, sending me to the ground. I covered my head with my arms, then I heard the laughing getting quieter and footsteps. They probably just got bored.

I stood up and brushed myself off. Nobody even noticed or cared enough to see if I was alright. They just walked by. I was so pissed. But right now, I only wanted to get this crap out of my hair. I walked, well ran, inside and to the nurses office; I wasn't going to risk another beating.

She looked at me with concern. "Are you alright?" she said.

I nodded, lying.

"Yeah, I just spilled my drink...all over my head..." I just realized how hopeless it was to say that so it made sense. "Can I just rinse out my hair here?" She told me I could and unlocked the private bathroom.

It was pretty tricky getting it out without soaking my shirt, but I managed. She gave me a clean towel to get it drier. It was damp, but better than before. I thanked her and reluctantly started for the door.

"Young man," she called.

"Yes?" I replied.

"There are only a few more minutes before the period ends. You could stay here and I can write you a pass so you can do whatever you need to." I was so thankful I could run up to her and hug her.

She was the younger and nicer of the two nurses that shifted working hours. I smiled and nodded then took my place on the bench.

I sighed. There is no way that those guys will ever leave me alone. If they keep this up, I don't know if it would be a good idea to hang around Adam; it's just another reason to beat me up. I felt like crying. The one thing that was good in my life was about to be the worst. I took a deep breath in.

I have to have a plan.
