{ CHAPTER 2 - ANOTHER KILL, ANOTHER SATISFACTION }

Red.

One is on the ground. One is still standing.

Armament.

One is blinded by dark forever. One will stay in light, but hide in its shadows.

Defeat.

One is breathless. One is trying to catch up with its heart’s rapid pace.

Triumph.

Drowning in red. A warm, wet, substance staining everything it touches. The power of weakness lingering above. Eyes refusing to open. Still… so very still. Lifeless. Gone.

Starandra smirked devilishly as she stood above her victim’s dead body. It's such an excitement to kill and kill; it was her addiction…her craving… her need. It was like the world was under her command. One thrash of her lucky double sized swiss blade – the key to forever darkness – and they were falling to their knees begging for mercy, but little did they know she never gave it.

Her black knee-length leather boots stomped triumphal on the lush innocent olive grass. That smirk from the devil never leaving her rosy lips, her eyes slicing through the air as they still held the mixture of sweet murder and victory.

At this point all is ceasefire.

“Dominic, mission 246 is complete!” She gushed in a yell to aim up the stairs as she lazily stayed at the very bottom, waiting for him to come down with that sweet smile she received after every mission.

“Very well my treasure.” Dominic peeled his gratitude slowly with his famous grin.

“Anything occurred while my absence?”

“Nothing quite… yet. But I do plan for our tradition tonight my dearest, right?” Dominic pressed in question as a wink fluttered from his left eye to send a pleasant shiver down her spine.

“Always, Dominic.”  As the last syllable had escaped her mouth she captured Dominic’s lips with hers.

Pulling Starandra by her waist and pressing her body further into his, molding them together as one; lips moving in sync.

In just of the matters of minutes, clothes were abandoned to different sides of the living room and two individual bodies melting from sweat and heat capturing every inch of each other to come to one.

Just like after every mission, it was celebrated with passionate lust with a speck of roughness affection. But this one was different, very different. It was interpreted by a late night call.

“Who the hell could that be?” Dominic groaned as he dug his face into Starandra’s neck breathing in her scent before he trudged to the phone.

“Hello, how–” Dominic was cut off before he could finish his introduction. Heavy breaths ate the silence on both sides of the call before a mocking cold voice spoke.

“Kill Colton West.” One single giggle then the dial tone cut the string of any other sounds.

Dominic slowly placed the phone down, with his eyebrows furrowed. A giggle? That’s new. Must be a newbie not wanting to get his hands dirty.

“Looks like your next mission is ordered, sweetheart.”

Kelsey’s Point of View

“Kels! Wait up!” I turned my head around to see Brad jogging down the hallway to meet me.

“Hey, what’s up?”

“Wanna come over my house tonight?” Brad asked as he kept up with my pace.

“Sure. But really what’s on your mind Brad?” I knew him very too well to know when he wasn’t telling me what he intentionally wanted in the first place.

“How do you do that?” He gasped as he sighed and spoke again. “Anyway, Okay. Did you tell Colton yet?” He placed his hands on my shoulders to stop me from walking and looking straight in my eyes. Damn him… he knows I can never lie when they look me in the eyes.

“N-no. But I’ll t-tell him after school.” I stuttered, staring at the floor now, trying to brush past him to finish off to class.

“Promise?” Brad questioned as he quirked his left eyebrow up as he leaned against the door’s entrance.

“Promise.” I smiled innocently as I finally arrived to my class.

I walked backwards in the room still smiling at Brad while my right hand noticeably behind my legs, fingers crossed.

After School ; Third - Person Point of View

It was around two in the morning and all three of the best friends – Kelsey, Brad, and Colton – were already drunk to the bone.

“Can we playyyss a gameeeee.” Kelsey giddily pressed with slurs and a la la land tone.

“I volunteer as tribute!” Brad bellowed with his hands waving eccentrically in the air of the bedroom.

“My milkshake brings all the boys to the yard, damn right it’s better than ya’ll. Dam–” before Colton could finish his singing as he twerked drunkenly, he had tripped on air and fallen face first onto the carpeted floor.

Kelsey was giggling like a mad woman as she grabbed Brad and Colton bringing them into a circle.

“Let’s play prankyyyyy.” She spoke with excitement in a bubbly moment as she didn’t even notice she had said the game’s name wrong. “Call a random guy annnnd say the scariest thing that would feaaarrr one of ussss.” She spoke as she slurred some letters in her words.

She grabbed her phone and was mesmerized by the flashy buttons as she opened the call board app. Tapping slowly on the phone she unknowingly chose ten single numbers and heard the dial tone ring 3 times before a huskily voice answered. Throwing the phone at Brad he chuckled as he lazily held the phone against his ear. Just breathing heavily at first till he finally spoke.

“Kill Colton West.” It sounded to himself as if he would have meant it inside and when he realized what he said, Kelsey had let out a giggle and he cut the call.
