Can't Hide on Video

{ CHAPTER 14 - CAN'T HIDE ON VIDEO }

The remote was falling dramatically to the floor with a slow thump as Veronica was staring at the video with mixed emotions; horrid, disguised, fear, and confusion.

“What the fuck had Redrum become?” She whispered with fear in her eyes, as she continued to see the exposed creatures on the screen. But even though it wasn’t her daughter’s killer it was still satisfying for her to know this new information.

“I now know the real truth of all of you…” She said as the kids showed up on the screen all at once as it reached the ending.

Starandra. Dominic. Colton. Brad. Jake. Derek. Kelvin. Kelsey.

“I have to warn her…” Veronica trailed off as she quickly took the video out of the disco player and sat on the couch thinking of a plan.

At School; Starandra’s Point of View

“Hey, Colton!”

I jogged up to his pace as I caught his attention.

“Star–”

“No, Colton. You need to stay out of my life.”

“What? You came up to me…”

“This is a warning –A final warning.”

“But–”

“No…” I turned to walk away looking at the ground.

“You came up to me!” Colton shouted with eyes furrowed and confusion wrapping around his whole frame.

After next period I walked to locker with everyone staring at me. Wow, one day you’re the shadow girl that is never noticed but once you get involved with Colton West you get the center of attention. As I turned a corner I was pulled by my arm and darkness was clamping my vision to a blind-full sight.

“What the fuck?”

“Shhh…”

As the person spoke only one word I felt perfectly soft lips crash down on mine and I had this hungry erg to kiss back but you can’t kiss a random stranger! He could have been a freaking pedophile.

“It’s kind of sad how you don’t remember this feeling…” He whispered in my ear and sharp minty breath struck with my oxygen. I gasped at his voice, and growled in annoyance of who this mystery guy is.

“Colton, get away from me. I told you to stay away from me.”

“You said…but who said I would listen.”

“Really, no… you have to. I will be putting you in too much danger.” I mumbled trying not to say the last part to loud.

“What? How would you put me in danger?”

“Just leave me alone.” I said coldly, while trying to find the knob on the door but all I felt was shelves.

I heard a chuckle before Colton spoke again.

“Turn this way, Castle.”

He could picture him with that fucking smirk as he held onto my hips turning me towards the right direction and I was out the door.

“Really a janitors’ closet, West?”

“What, it wasn’t romantic?” He teased, laughing lightly as he stared into my eyes as I rolled mine and turned around to continue my journey to my locker.

As I closed my locker and made my trail to the next class, something caught my eye when I paced the main office windows.

Someone for the matter-of-fact.

My anger started to boil in my veins as I busted through the main office doors and walked straight up to the man that was ruining my life right at this very moment.

“Dominic?! What the fuck are you doing here?!”

“Young lady! I beg your pardon for your language!” The secretary yelled at me.

“It’s okay, I will handle her in my office.”

“Office? What fucking office?!”

“Starandra Castle! Clean your disgusting mouth before you receive detention!” She bellowed at me from behind her desk.

I rolled my eyes as Dominic took my arm and dragged me into the principal’s office.

“Where’s the principal?”

“You are looking at him, Star.”

“You have got to be kidding me.” I scoffed at him crossing my arms above my chest.

“No I am not, my sweetheart.” He teased and this time it wasn’t as pleasuring as it used to be; now it just feels wrong and disgusting.

“Ugh, what are you doing here?”

“I’m here to keep an eye on you…making sure you don’t fraternize with our enemy.”

Colton’s Point of View

I will admit it… I love Starandra, and I know she loves me too but something is going on that she would admit it or show it. It’s just the way we kiss; it’s like if I try to forget it my love for her always remembers it, perfectly clear.

“Colton… you have a call from Kelsey’s mother.” The teacher announced to me as she was holding the corded phone to her chest her eyes on me. I walked up to her desk and took the phone.

“Yes?”

“You should be ashamed of yourself.”

“What?”

“You know what I said… you should have stayed away from innocent people. I warn you to leave town or else.” She hissed.

“You don’t know who you’re talking to, do you?” I scoffed and smirked as I could hear her shiver a little with fear from my voice.

“Yes I do… a killer.” And with that the call was cut short.
