{ CHAPTER 9 - WISHES ON A WOLF }

Kelsey had waked up alone in bed this chilling morning with only one question…

Where is Brad?

She stood up from the bed with her pink fluffy slippers keeping her feet warm and protected from the icy floor. As she approached the window she sees that the moon was still out this early morning… must still be 3 A.M –she thought to herself.

But there was more than just the shadowy moon touching the horizon of the hill she looked over, there her sight attacked to a creature that was good luck to Redrum –A gray, full-grown male wolf.

In Redrum if you wish anything when a wolf is howling to the moon, it comes true. It always comes true.

But what Kelsey didn’t know that there was two other people wishing on the very same wolf…two people that will change her life forever with all of their secrets.

“I wish I knew everything that I needed to know.” She whispered to herself with closed eyes and a smile on her plump rosy lips.

This one wish, that one desire… will change all of Redrum forever.

School ; Kelsey’s Point of View

As I walked the halls in my black skinny jeans, pink polka dot bustier and a Life In Progress™ denim jacket with a pair of mesh peep-toe platforms, I see that Brad was waiting at my locker. I get closer and he notices me and slides his arms around my waist pulling me towards him and kissing my lips softly.

“Hey, where were you this morning?”

“Oh, umm…” He let his right hand leave my waist as he rubbed his neck. “I had some business to take care of.”

“Yeah, sure…” I said with no emotion as I looked down at the floor.

“What’s wrong baby?”

“I want to know the truth, Brad.”

“You wouldn’t understand.”

“I wouldn’t understand? I’m your girlfriend Brad!” I was getting at least a quarter of the schools attention now.

“Please, let’s not do this here.” Brad whispered to me.

“No! Tell me the truth! Are you cheating on me, Brad?!”

“No of course not, babe!”

“Then tell me what you’re hiding from me!” At this point everyone in the hallway had our attention and it only brought more confidence to me.

“I can’t…”

“If you can’t, then we’re over!” I shoved his chest to have him collide with the lockers and I strutted away with my heels clicking and the crowd making noises as they stood by.

My eyes were pinching at the core with water as I was holding back the waterfall. I stepped out to the courtyard and sat down under the blooming tree.

“I just want to know…” I whispered while looking up at the sky.

No one was around and I took this advantage and cry quietly to myself. Wouldn’t want anyone to hear me, right?

As I wiped my cheeks of the salty substance that stained my face with its clear liquid, I heard the school’s main entrance door open. I craned my neck do to the fact that the tree was parallel to the corner of the school where I was located and I was also very nosy and this point. As I squinted my eyes to get a clearer view of the person, my vision had adjusted and I saw Brad flowing his fingers through his hair aggressively.
