{ CHAPTER 10 - LOVE LIKE RAINDROPS }

Rain drops fell to their miniature exploding death as they raced down through the gloomy cold air. Wind blowing fiercely in every direction. Cold air lacing around everything it touched.

As Starandra entered Redrum High, she noticed a man near her locker; Colton. Her eyes flicked to anger and squinted in fantasizing of kicking his ass.

She knew that she needed to get this done, and Dominic will never understand that this is what is best even though he thinks it’s too early.

Starandra had finally reached to her locker sneering at Colton.

“What do you want now, Colton?” She spoke with no emotion as she paid all her attention to enter her combination to open her locker.

“I want you.” He huskily said in her ear as she felt his hands touch her waist softly.

“Get off of me, Colton.” Starandra hissed as she shrugged him off.

“Don’t you feel the connection between us when I touch you?” Colton said softly while he was still close to her. She shivered from his words running down her neck.

“No…” She whispered her lie, when she clearly felt this magnetic full towards him at this moment, ever since their kiss. She tried to cover her feelings up with anger, treating them like a hole patching them up with dirt. It hurt her even more to think of it like that, but she couldn’t show any affection or any feelings of Colton when she had a mission, and that mission was to kill Colton.

“Then I’m going to just have to show you.”

Colton turned her around roughly and smashed his lips on hers. Starandra struggled to push him off as she knew his kiss was weakening her and her feelings were slowly surfacing. Starandra’s lips deliberately synced with his as she wrapped her arms around his neck. Colton pulled her closer to him by the waist and circled his arms tight around. As Starandra’s mind was blind by the sensation her tongue slipped into his mouth pushing his and his following her actions. They twirled their tongues in circles as they danced in each other’s dark, warm mouths. Colton curled his hands into fists as he carefully let go of her waist, bringing his closed fists above her head and banging them against the lockers. Pulling away roughly and stepping back, staring at Starandra.

“I…What…I have to go.” Colton stuttered his unknowing words and left Starandra still trying to surface the lust river that she was drowning in moments ago.

As Starandra came back to realize what she had done, she slid down her locker and cried into her hands with her knees pulled up to her chest.

“This could ruin everything...” She whispered to herself.

As the hallways were quiet as she figured that students were in class she could hear the raindrops pittering and pattering against the windows’ glass.

“Why can’t I be a raindrop… live for one minute, sky driving my life’s one and only adventure and them die with no worries and responsibilities?” Starandra asked herself as she wiped her tears away and looked up at the ceiling.

“Why was I chosen to be this? To be a killer…” She whispered the attached ending to her question in slight anger.

“Why couldn’t I have stayed a dead Vanessa Sanchez?”

She cried even more as she remembered her pasted, he old family, her friends, her old home, boyfriend, and how she died.

“Vanessa, could you please pick up some cherries at the market for tonight?” My mother asked kindly as I set up the table, helping her get ready for the Halloween party.
