{ CHAPTER 18 - DEATH'S KISS VS. DEVIL'S BITE } Finale
“You look beautiful, Starandra.” Dominic complimented the lovely cunning assassin, watching her every step as she dissented down the stair case. With her hair in a slight and tight half-up half-down elegant style, with her hair lusciously whipped in light waves lengthen down to the very end of her chest. Make-up to the simplest beauty as it looked as if she hadn’t even placed anything but eyeliner and a nude lipstick. Starandra’s dress was a vivid red with a high-low cut. The top section was skin tight and strapless shaping her breast finely and defining her waist with a dashing designed belt-like material. The bottom section was cascading down the back in luscious silky scrunches and the front doing the same but being cut at mid-thigh. She had her weapons hidden on a strap around her upper thigh under her dress, hidden from everyone - like Gracie heart in Miss. Congeniality.
“Thank you, but I’m not talking to you until after the mission.” She sneered and slipped into the car and put on her elegant silver mask.
As Dominic was driving down the sunset to the school a figure had ran across the road causing them to swerve in a fast motion.
“What the fuck was that?!” Starandra yelped as she held on to the door for dear life.
“Something just cut us off.” Dominic whispered as much as he could mutter.
“Do you know what it was?” She questioned.
“No.” He lied, knowing exactly what it was and he was afraid of his own answer in his mind. ‘How is she back?’
They both got out of the car and looked at the hood and saw a red silky piece of material caught in the car’s pointed symbol that represented the brad of the car. Dominic had picked it up gently and slowly sniffed it. ‘Oh that scent.’ He said to his conscience. ‘It was her alright.’
Dominic pocketed the ripped material and shooed Starandra back into the car. As he walked back over to his door, he looked up over the top of the car and saw a familiar piercing dark chocolate eyes, that had a slight shimmering spark from the sun’s remaining rays as it was setting, stare at him and he knew at that moment that his hypothesis was correct and it was dangerous…
Halloween Ball; Third-Person Point of View
As Starandra and Dominic had stepped out of the car and entered the school silently with no eye contact at all, they had walked to the gymnasium and both had a look of satisfaction and approval when they had took in the appearance of the Ball's scene. It could be subtitled as 'The Red and White Ball' because that's all everyone wore with the exception of a few black tuxedo pants and masks to catch attention to the selection of students and chaperons.
Starandra had looked around until arms slithered around her waist and soft kisses pecked down her neck. As she turned around all that she could muster was the lips that had captured her lips in a blissful kiss and by the scent she breathed in she knew exactly who the person was - Colton West. So, as they have ended their chaste kiss, Colton had leaned his forehead against hers gazing into her eyes.
"You look gorgeous this fine night, Star." Colton said with his tone of his voice sending off signals that he was one-hundred percent truthful.
Starandra took his hand and lead him off into the dance floor. If this was going to be the last night she will ever spend with her lover then she will make it as perfect as possible. As she found herself slipping into a utopia of love between her and Colton, Dominic had to be the devil of the moment and dance by with his dance partner, Veronica Marques, and shove her slightly having her escape her Utopian society and catch his glare which she knew was a warning to get on with the plan.
