{ CHAPTER 5 - KEEP FALLING ON BLOOD'S BROKEN GLASS }
Secrets, secrets, and more secrets. Everywhere you looked, secrets were bleeding from their sleeves, hidden in the shadows, and drowning in the deep waters. But when will the blood be aid, the sun hit the shadow, and be able to float back up to tell the truth?
“Dominic?”
He looked down at Starandra as she pulled away from the embrace.
“Yes, sweetie?”
“What really happened to Lucinda?” She had furrowed her eyebrows to show the true curiosity.
Dominic sighed as he pulled her lightly up the stairs. Walking in silence up the curling staircase then trudging down the third hall on the fourth floor, he opened a door to a study.
“This was Lucinda’s study.”
Hunting ; Colton’s Point of View
Cuts, blood. Cries, blood. Cold, blood.
“Help!” My meal yelped in agony as the pain struck every nerve in her body.
I smirked as I witnessed her helpless from the injury of tripping over broken pieces of glass, cutting her skin. She was teasing me, her rich scent of blood flowing through my senses as I could just taste it in the air. I was giving her more time to beg and cry then she needed.
“I’ll help you, beautiful.” I cunningly smirked as I stepped out of the east trees shadows and approached her in the dim moonlight.
“Oh, thank you.” She smiled in my presence.
“Oh yes… I’ll help you suffer.” I sneeringly whispered to her before grabbing her by the neck, stabbing my teeth into her soft flesh that was perfectly salted from her damp tears. Her suffering whimpers and cries died down as she was now cold and still her eyes fluttering to a close. I picked her up in my arms cradling her to my chest as I ran as the speed of electricity to the south side of the forest to dispose my leftovers to the wolves. It was our treaty – we hunt, drink, and the scraps are left to be devoured as the wolves’ meal.
Lucinda’s Study ; Starandra’s Point of View
I never noticed this room before; I guess I was so into my, missions and after traditions with Dominic that I really had time to scavenger hunt through the mansion.
“Lucinda was the queen of the Timeoloria [Time-Oh-Lor-ee-Ah] – her home dimension. She arrived at Earth on October 23rd 1678. Her goal was to take over our world, and she was very close to success until she was distracted by love with Kelvin. She wedded and was rumored that she had bared a child – which is now the truth. She was titled as the murder at Redrum, and was the reason it was ever invented. But no one knows why she was ever depressed and committed suicide, leaving her husband and son abandoned and they just wept and mourned on the Fareast bowels of the forest.”
Dominic walked to the window pointed to the horizon of the tree tops and the gray sky.
“When did she kill herself?”
“October 31st 1846.” He breathed not breaking his sight of the sky.
“On Halloween? Isn’t that weird… being a vampire and all?” I chuckled by the ironic date.
Dominic turned around shaking his head slightly looking at the ground.
“Leave.”
“Wai– what? Dominic I’m sorry, but it’s just–”
“Leave! Now Starandra!” Dominic yelled, his dark scowling voice echoing through the mansion. I wouldn’t be surprised if the living outside had heard.
I scurried out of the room, closing the door behind me and rushing down the stairs to the second floor and barging into my room, diving into my bed crumbling to weakness.
I know it’s weird to have feelings when you’re bionic, but Dominic wanted me to have the whole human experience thing and gave me a heart and since I was Vannessa Sanchez it wasn’t too hard to adjust to the emotions.
Dominic had never spoken so coldly to me before and I know what you’re thinking… You’re the best assassin, just kill him like a bug… but he was my master, I could never have the heart and courage to damage my respect for him as my creator. He gave me a second chance at life.

“Leave! Now Starandra!” I barked with rage.
Not a second more she dashed out the room and I’m positive she was confused and upset but right now she was being a pain in my ass. It was stressful to know that she will never understand any of this clearly until I tell her but it’s not the right time.
Why can’t The Time just come already?
