I just realized while I was busy taking out the trash that I missed something important. When I turned on the power it didn't turn on the ships radar. I'm literally blind, if anything comes to get us or to kill us I'm not going to see it. Which is a huge problem. If whatever comes to get us is trying to kill us I have to give John enough notice to gear up for a fight. When the emergency power is turned on, which is what I'm using right now as I have no other choice, it picks the most important things to use its power on. This usually means it will turn on the lights, radar, and controls to the ship if possible. It did the lights and couldn't do the controls but I see no reason as to why it didn't turn the radar on. I mean we aren't in the front of the ship but there is a control panel with an obvious radar sitting there turned off. My best guess is the Gravemind destroyed it so I couldn't see him. Smart. In order to do that he would have had to cut the wires. Since I am not able to fix broken wires I am going to have to do this the hard way. I have to cut the power to every other light aboard the ship and divert it back to the radar. That should be just enough to get it working again. It will also leave us with enough light to see when we have to. To be completely honest I don't know if it will work. AI are trained to work around every problem thrown at them but we were never taught what to do if we were stuck on a broken ship in space with a sleeping Spartan and a giant zombie snake. I guess they don't teach you everything. At least I already took care of the zombie snake part. Now for the power management part. When the Unsc built these ships at least they made sure there was a backup for everything. Even the backups had a backup. So they made a way to divert power with the lights. But of course the Gravemind is too smart and took that out too. Which means I'm going to have to make things up as I go. I guess I should have expected that though. I have been making everything I've been doing on here up as I go.
