An Old Enemy

There seems to be a problem. I thought I was going crazy but I can't be, not after what just happened... I was searching for the backup generator and when I found it I heard something, like a living something. It wasn't like metal creaking or other normal destroyed ship sounds it was more like growling. I don't know what it is, maybe it's the Arbiter? If it is he sounds like he is really hurt and I need to get to him now... Like right now. But if it's not the Arbiter and I turn on the power to let whatever is out there out we could have a huge problem... I have to do it I can't risk not opening it and having it be the Arbiter.

I managed to get the power on but I can't see anything in there and nothing is answering me when i talk but I can still hear the noises. I'm going to open the door. I have to. I mean what if it is the Arbiter? What if I don't open that door and he was in there? I couldn't live with myself after that. I couldn't handle myself knowing I left someone to die who I could have saved. I have to help even if it's the last thing I do. But before I do I'm going to be slightly careful about this. I'm going to make sure all the doors in this ship except for the one holding whatever is in there is locked. If it is not the Arbiter at least I'm safe... For now.

Why was I so foolish. I had  to open that door. Of course it wasn't him... How could it have been? But I had to believe. I had to have hope. Idiot.
It wasn't him, I should've known that, but I didn't. It was much much worse, in fact probably the worst thing that could have been in there was in there. I guess my luck isn't as good as Johns. I thought we destroyed them, but some must have made it aboard the dawn. The flood. I don't know how. But they survived. It seems like they always do. This time is different I don't have a walking tank or an alien species by my side. It's just me. I can't wake John up, no it's too risky he wouldn't be able to go back asleep. At least the doors will hold. For now. They won't last forever though, but I don't know what I can do. All I know is I don't have much time, i need to come up with something, fast.
