The Elites are almost out of my range, I won't be able to communicate with them for very long. I know that they want to find someone named the Librarian who they think is me. I've never heard of the person they are talking about and we seem to have no records on her. I can try to get info out of them maybe learn what they are trying to do.
"You are getting closer, but do you really know what it is you seek." I say trying to get info out of them.
"We know exactly what we seek all we need is your location." The Elites say avoiding my question.
"I cannot give my location, but what is it you wish of me?" Trying to get another answer out of them.
"We heard you are one of great power, or as we call you Forerunners. We seek access to this power, we wish to be immortal. Like your kind wished to be."
"Well well well... Come find me and all you seek will be yours." I say relieved I got what I wanted off them.
Well I know what they want, they want to be even more powerful, and whoever this Librarian is has the power to make that happen. I've heard the rumours, about how the Forerunner worked on a way to make themselves immortal they almost did it but they didn't make it fast enough. The flood attacked and they got distracted, built the oracles to monitor the stations and keep the flood trapped. All our records say the flood killed them all. But this Librarian is very knowledgable about the Forerunner. Almost too much so. Although I don't know much about her, I believe she herself is a Forerunner, and that she survived the flood. Now this means she got lucky and is the only survivor, or there are other Forerunners out there. I think she also found the way to become immortal too. These Forerunners seem a bit greedy now don't they? They already live for thousands of years. Yet they still feel they need to become immortal. So much so that they missed a danger so great it pretty much made their entire species go extinct. Hopefully the real Librarian is much less willing to let them in on her secrets than I made her seem. Giving immortality to the Elites just seems like a really bad idea. I just hope the Librarian realizes this before it's too late.
