I've done as the Librarian has asked and studied the map of Requiem. I have to say I'm very impressed. The map indicates these portals that are used to teleport to any other portal on the planet. I guess that's how I'm going to get John around. The thing I notice with the planet is it has layers. I guess that's why they use portals. The good thing is where I'm expected to take John doesn't look to difficult to get to. It's in the centre of the planet and only one layer down. There is a portal opening not too far away from it either. It's such a weird plan the Librarian has but I can understand it. If John truly believes releasing the Didact is actually how we contact Infinity then he will do it. Then Infinity will be sucked in and we can leave. After we defeat the Didact of course. But I get it, one thing leads to another right. Releasing the Didact (a really bad thing) causes us to be able to get home (a really good thing). So I have to go through with it. I noticed on the map that the place where the Didact is being kept is giving off a power source, one that I can't seem to figure out what it's doing. I'm going to have a few things to ask the Librarian in our next talk. She said that the Didact was her husband. I wonder what makes him so dangerous. What is it he plans to do? She never really explained that. I assume she will get to that next though. I'm looking at the map and it shows the Elites attempting to get inside the planet. I'm going to ask one of the Watcher about that.
"Hey, Watcher, I have to talk to you."
"What is it?" He turns to see me.
"The defences surrounding the planet, are you sure they can hold out those Elites?" I ask worried.
"Yes, we built those using everything we had, not even another Forerunner could get through without someone on the planet saying so."
"So there's no way they are getting in?" I ask to confirm what he just said.
"There is absolutely no chance they will ever get in." He reassures me.
"Ok then, that's good." I say relieved.
"Anything else you need me for?" He asks politely.
"No that's all, thanks."
