Immediately, Luke went behind my back but, that did no help at all since he was 50 feet taller than me.
"Flor- Oh, Luke" she widened her eyes when she saw him.
Am I going to get in trouble?
I silently prayed that I won't get my ass whooped for coming over here, especially when she thinks we are dating, which we kinda are.
"Hi, Mrs. Peters" Luke said nervously.
He knows that he shouldn't be here and I could tell that he wanted to get out of here as much as I do.
"Luke, I told you to call me Emma" she said, crossing her arms.
"Sorry, Mrs. Pet- I mean Emma" Luke blushed in embarrassment.
He looked down at his feet and played with his fingers.
"Well, I'm going to go to the kitchen" my mom carried her work bag and walked straight to the kitchen until she stopped by the doorway to the kitchen and looked at me with dead eyes. "Oh, we will have to talk, Flora".
I gulped and nodded slowly. She went inside the kitchen was never seen again until that night.

When Luke and I hung out, he decided he had to go because he feels that my mom is plotting to kill him. I told him goodbye and he left.
I went downstairs to the kitchen since I was thirsty. I tip-toed to the kitchen, trying not to make any noise, but that failed when I tripped over a pillow.
"Flora?"
"Yes, mom?" I called out, silently groaning.
"Come here. I have to talk to you"
I gulped and headed to the kitchen.
I popped my head out by the doorframe and I saw her working on some papers.
"Sit honey"
I took a seat next to her and stayed there quietly, trying to act polite so she wouldn't suspect anything.
"Is there anything that you would like to tell me?" She asked me, looking dead into my eyes.
"Nope, I'm fine. Just fine" I lied.
"It seems that you are dating Luke" she confessed to me.
"What....? No" I nervous-laughed. "Why would you say that?"
I sunk down in my chair and looked somewhere else than her evil eyes.
"Liz told me that he was dating you" she put her glasses down. "And since he came here, it seems a lot like you guys are dating"
I gulped and nervous-smiled.
"Heh.." I scratched at the back of my head. "I'm not dating him... Yet.. It's complicated"
"Mhm.." She sipped her steaming cup of coffee, the overwhelming smell filled my nostrils.
"Look, mom. I like Luke and he likes me too but, we're not dating." I explained. "Plus, does it matter at whoever I want to date? I'm 18, mom"
