Hurt

"Lunch is ready!" Ariana yells from downstairs.

"Ok. We'll be down in a second.

I pick up Kenzie and walk downstairs. I would let her walk but she takes so long and I'm so hungry.

"What's for lunch?" I ask, wanting to make sure Sean wasn't distracting Ariana again.

"Sandwiches." Sean replies with a monotonous voice.

"That's good. It only took her 15 minutes." I exclaim, smiling internally.

"Why?" Sean asks, looking up from Instagram.

"No reason. Just asking." I reply awkwardly.

"Lunch is served." Ariana says, walking into the dining room with a tray full of sandwiches.

"Good. I'm starving." I say, grabbing like 10 sandwiches.

We eat and I spend the rest of the day studying my lines which isn't usually that hard. These lines are really hard though.

Next Morning

"Time to go to work, Taylor." Ariana says, opening the curtains again.

"Ariana," I whine, "It's too bright."

"Brightness wakes you up." She says leaving and closing the door.

"Ugh." I moan, getting up and going to the bathroom.

30 Minutes Later

We are all in the car heading to Kenzie's daycare. She decided to go to sleep so she has to go in the quiet room. Once she's safely in a crib, we drop off Ariana and Sean who are recording a song together.

We finally get to my set and I rush inside.

30 Minutes Later

We are in the middle of recording a scene and I get a phone call.

"Sorry, I have to take this. It's Kenzie's daycare." I say, excusing myself from the set.

"Hello?" I say, worried.

"Hi, Taylor. It's Stephanie. We have some bad news."

"OMG!! What happened?"

"Well, Mackenzie had just waken up from her nap. She tried to climb out of the crib using the bars. She fell on her arm and I think it's broken."

"OMG!! I'll be right there. I just gotta call the limo."

"Don't worry. It's already on its way."

"Great. Thanks. Bye." I hang up and run outside before sending an apology message to the director

The limo shows up and I hop in instantly. Ariana and Sean are waiting there, worried expressions on their faces.

"Hey Taylor. You don't have to rush. The ambulance came to pick her up. I'm sure she'll e fine."

"Sean, is this a joke to you? She broke her arm. She won't be fine. I never wanted her to get hurt, how could this happen. It's all my fault.I should've told her not to climb out of the crib when she did it the first time." I burst into tears.

"Come here, baby. It's gonna be alright." Ariana says, hugging me and rubbing my back.

"I'm sorry Taylor. I know you're not feeling well right now. I didn't mean to make you cry." Sean says with an apologetic face.

"It's ok Sean. I'm sorry for yelling at you." I say as we arrive at the hospital.

Luckily for us, there are no paps. We walk inside and I ask the receptionist where Kenzie is. I rush to her room and open the door. She is sleeping on a hospital bed with a pink cast on her arm.

"My poor baby." I whisper, not wanting to wake her up.

I sit for about 10 minutes before her eyes flutter open, adjusting to the bright light of the hospital.

"Hey baby girl. How are you feeling?"

"Fine. Why?"

That breaks my heart that she doesn't even know what happened.

"Kenz, you broke your arm from falling out of your crib. Remember that?"

"Yes. It hurt very bad. Stephanie says I was screaming and crying."

"You probably we're. I'll go get the doctor so we can see when you can leave." I say before giving her a kiss on the forehead and walking out of the room.

I find Kenzie's doctor and follow him to her room.

"Well, she broke her arm as you know but she managed to be a big girl when we put her cast on. She fell asleep so we left her alone. She can leave at whatever time that is convenient. She can get the cast off sometime next month."

Sean goes to the front desk to pay as Ariana carefully picks up Kenzie from the bed. We all meet outside and get in the limo.
