Saving My Life

What to do?

After Hotel Transylvania 2 is over, Kenzie is asleep so I take her upstairs for bed. She can never seem to stay awake during movies. Sean and Ariana take care of the twins while I look for a movie to watch in the living room.

I was choosing between The Peanuts Movie and Goosebumps when the doorbell rings.

"I'll get it." I say, not to loudly because I don't wanna wake anybody up.

"Hel-" I am cut off when I see who's at the door.

"What do you want?" I ask, breaking eye contact.

"Taylor, I'm really sorry. I mean it and I know it's not worth anything but I just wanted to say it."

"As Peyton says. Do you need anything?" I ask, examining my nails to keep from looking at her.

"Just to say sorry. I really am."

"Whatever. Good bye." I say, slamming the door in her face.

I feel a pang of guilt but shake it off as I go to pick a movie. I look out the window just in time to see Skai turning to look at me guiltily. She turns back around when she see's me looking and walks back across the street with her head down.

Now I feel really bad. I know I shouldn't stay mad at her. It was obviously just an accident and I didn't even hear her side of the story. Zach hasn't even tried to talk to me. Either he doesn't care, or he wanted to give me space.

All these thoughts just break my heart. The fact that Zach hasn't tried anything, and the fact that Skai has and I ignored it. This type of stuff makes me feel so bad, I start to cry.

"Taylor, what's wrong?" Ariana asks, sitting down beside me.

Sean doesn't come in so I'm guessing he's making popcorn.

"I feel bad. Skai just came over to apologize in person and I just ignored her. Zach hasn't even attempted to do anything and that makes me mad. I want to forgive Skai but I don't know how. I also want Zach to apologize. I guess he's just like his cousin."

"Taylor, I'm really sorry. Skai can come over tomorrow, if you want her to. You can forgive her then. Just don't worry about Zach. He'll come around." She says, rubbing my back as I cry into her shoulder.

"Thanks. I appreciate it." I say, wiping my face and putting the movie in.

Sean comes in with the popcorn and we begin to watch The Peanuts Movie.
