Dan's POV:
"It's our song, isn't it?" Dan grinned up at Phil who exchanged a smile back. "It is sure is Daniel, it sure is." Phil murmured, propping himself on top of Dan and feeling the expected electric, vibrant spark flow through them both as their lips attached. The moment feeling so rapturous, so remarkable, so right. For a difference, Phil did the leading and Dan following close behind, their heart rate increasing. Dan quite unsure where to place his hands, caressed Phil's warm, pink cheeks, whilst Phil's hands were sat at both sides of Dan's hips.
A single touch from Phil could easily make Dan's hopelessly-in-love-heart skip a beat. His eyes-.
Phil's eyes.
Phil's icy blue eyes.
Those eyes never did fail to make Dan lose track of the time. Who cared about time when you were with the one person you truly loved?
"Okay?" Dan whispered into his ear, eagerly waiting for Phil's reaction.
"Okay. Dan, I think you are perfect, especially for quoting TFIOS. And you are my Augustus Waters.".
"Oh, and you're Hazel Grace Lancaster?" Dan raised an eyebrow, smirking.
"Ahahaa, maybe. Dan, could you wait outside for a moment? I have a surprise." Phil beamed, clasping hold of Dan's hand and towing the blissful boy off the bed and outside. Dan slowly nodded, revealing his dimples to the fullest and allowing the door to close in front him.
10 desirous minutes later of Dan excitedly tapping his foot waiting, Phil poked his head out of the door stretching his hand for Dan to take. "You can come in.", the raven haired boy perked up.
Dan walked in, grinning to his amazement as the two walked back into Phil's bedroom. The room shined and shimmered due to the several crimson red and blindingly white fairy lights. They twinkled like, Dan noticed, Phil's light blue eyes who's eyes transitioned from admiring the lights he had set up and himself. These fairy lights were set to flicker in a moderate, automatic pattern. Dan then noticed the odd aubergine candles, melting away in the background. Along the window sill, on top of the dresser too. It was so very sweet and romantic.
"Phil... I don't know what to say. This is beautiful." Dan responded, gently swaying Phil's hand.
"I thought you would like it." Phil replied, rotating himself to face Dan, wrapping his arms around the younger boy's neck and pulling him closer so their bodies were pressed together.
"Of course, Philadelphia." Dan giggled.
"Let's continue what we started before." Phil instructed walking backwards until is back fell onto the bed and this time Dan was the one on top. Their faces were just obnoxious inches away until Phil lifted himself up and away in realisation. "Wait, wait, almost forgot." He remembered quietly. Phil reached out for his iPod placed on the bed next to them and fiddled around on the iPod. As soon as the song began to play, a extremely happy grin appeared on Dan's face. 'thank you' Dan mouthed, biting his lip in a way Phil found adorable, attractive. And then, whatever unnecessary space there was between, Dan effortlessly fixed that problem.
Both Dan and Phil would never forget this night. Is it even possible to forget a night so surreal and remarkable?
Okay, it wasn't a night in a over expensive hotel, on a balcony under the bright, dazzling stars in a authentic, foreign country, but it was pretty damn close to two head over heel lovers.
I Won't Give Up was endlessly playing on repeat. Over and over. Yet, they both didn't get sick of the song.
'When I look into your eyes...'.
The two let their eyelids roll up and were immensely joyed with what they saw. Both quietly giggling in happiness.
"It's like watching the night sky.". Dan sung along, not escaping eye contact with Phil.
"Or a beautiful sunrise." Phil sung back.
"There's so much they hold.".
Soon, the two did actually go to sleep. At 12:00 AM. The fairy lights were switched off, but the eggplant coloured candles were left to flicker passionately. Under Phil's navy and white striped bed duvet, lay Dan spooned against Phil, safe in his arms. It was peaceful until there was an knock, knock, knock on the door, waking Dan and Phil. "I'll get it." Dan muttered under his breath. 'Who would be knocking at this f**king time?' in his thoughts he questioned. Dan, very fatigue and very dead-like walked to the bedroom door, borrowed Phil's fluffy egg white dressing gown and headed across the corridor to the front door.
And to his utter delight who did he see?
Aaron. Aaron Somerfield.
"Can you not take a fucking hint?" Dan cursed, his eyes like daggers on Aaron, almost closing the door, but to Dan's annoyance, Aaron's foot slotted through the narrow space.
"We need to talk.". Aaron said with a serious expression. The troublesome teenager wore a baggy, jet black waterproof jacket, skinny jeans and blue and white converses. He almost looked innocent, but Dan could see straight through that.
Dan laughed, shaking his head, "do we? You're an arsehole and I don't want to waste anymore of my breath on you.". He attempted to shove the door close, but failed since Aaron's foot was placed in the exact same place. "fucks sake...".
"Listen, I was a fool-.".
"Correction, you still are. Where am I Aaron? Does this look like my home to you?". And for once, Aaron looked defeated. And in this priceless and once-in-a-lifetime defeat, he then shook his head. "Exactly. This is my boyfriend's house. My amazing boyfriend's home. If you think I would ever give you a second chance after what you did to me, you are one delusional dick.".
As soon as Aaron realised Dan was taking pleasure from the expression he was wearing on his face, he erased any disappointment and quickly smirked. "My, haven't you changed. You were so sensitive before, like a small child and now you're raging with confidence.".
"Yeah, everyone changes, except you. You will never change.".
Phil had fully woken up and walked behind Dan wearing a goldenrod coloured jumper which had Pikachu's face on the front. He also wore faint red and white checked pyjama bottoms. He yawned and stretched, all carefree until he noticed the unwanted figure standing at the door. That's when he focused with frustration.
"Phil, hi!" Aaron said teasingly, grinning like a annoying cheshire cat.
"Shut the hell up." Dan growled. The anger bubbled more and more. The one person he wanted to disappear. Forever. But Dan understood that there would be at least the one person to go out their way just to try and make his life pure hell.
"Chill your beans, Dan.". Aaron said, making Dan want to claw his eyes out and rip the rest of him to pieces. Aaron rubbed the back of his neck and played eyeball-tennis with his eyes; flicking from Dan to Phil.
"Aaron, can you explain why you're here at quarter past twelve in the morning?" Phil grumbled, rubbing his eye.
"Ahaha... It doesn't really matter."
"If it doesn't, I suggest you back to whatever rock you crawled under from or I'll phone the police.".
"Okay, okay. Jesus, you two are no fun." Aaron said, holding his arms up in 'retreat', then set of walking into the darkness... Pretty much his own world. Dan rested his back against the door; closing it. His eyelids slowly falling, feeling heavy. He wished he hadn't woke up for 'that'.
"Let's go back to sleep." Phil spoke softly, supportingly walking Dan back to his room as if he was drunk.
