Dan's POV:

The queue lasted endlessly. Some people held up the line due to belonging issues. Dan was shouting in his head "c'mon, c'mon, c'mon.". Dan couldn't really care less if someone had dropped their brand new iPhone on the floor and had it stomped on, or their glasses lost under the thousand feet of people, never to been seen in such good condition again. No, Dan just wanted to have damn good time raving to his favourite band and if course his favourite boy in the whole world.

"Phil, please can I beat some of these peasants up?". Dan pleaded, pulling off the puppy-dog-eyes look like he was actually asking permission to murder someone.

"Just keep waiting for 5 more minutes." Phil told him, squeezing his hand.

"Okay, but if they continue to be complete twats, I will seriously decapitate someone.".

5 minutes eventually passed and the two were still stood in the queue, only taken 6 more steps. Two people who were in front of Dan and Phil looked like genuine drug addicts. Tatty clothing which was loose and baggy for the man and woman, just making them look even more scraggy than they already. Their hair was greasy and knotted. Fortunately, most people who were here to see Muse live weren't so scruffy looking.

"Are you kidding me." Dan said glaring at the line. "Why is it taking so long?"

"We're almost in, Dan, and it's going to amazing." Phil smiled, causing millions of tiny, little butterflies to flutter around inside Dan's chest. Dan just nodded and tried his hardest to be patient.

And finally, after millions of years of waiting, they got to the desk where you handed over your coats to be looked after, and then to entrance door; where the magic was finally revealed. In this arena, there were no seats, it was just going to be pure raving to their favourite artist. There were people already stood in the room, waiting underneath the main bright light, waiting

for it to soon tone down, for Matt Bellamy, Chris Wolstenholme and Dominic Howard to walk on stage and cause them to scream their lungs out. And that's exactly what happened.

Dan and Phil didn't manage to get right to the front, but they did push past enough people to reach to the middle, and that was good enough. "Oh my god. Phil, look, it's Matt." Dan squeaked like the fangirl he was.

"It is." Phil said, joining in fangirling, except probably not as enthusiastically as Dan.

"Hey everyone!". Matt spoke into the microphone, the screams returning.

"So, Dom, Chris and I hope you're all going to have a brilliant time and the first somg we'll be performing is New Born.". Ooh, look, the audience are screaming again.

"I love this song." Dan yelled into Phil's ear so he could hear him. "Me too!" Phil shouted back.

The band began to play the song. New Born started of quite quiet, so at this point you could really hear the crowd sing the lyrics with Matt, including Dan and Phil. Then, when the song changed to a intense guitar melody and the drums arrived into the song, the fans transitioned from peacefully singing along to jumping up and down and sort of moshing.

For Dan's first ever concert, it was perfect and just expected really. He was surrounded by a thousand fans exactly like him with Muse in the same room, blasting out their greatest and good songs.

After 13 songs of pure heaven, the band were about to 'finish', but the crowd cheered as loud as the could, shouting "ENCORE.", and that's what they got. The classic and legendary Plug in Baby was performed. Dan turned to Phil, his dimples extended to the fullest and began sing the lyrics loudly to Phil. Phil then turned around to face Dan and creating a duet.

"Don't confuse. Baby you're gonna-." and if by the power of Muse, Phil crashed his lips onto Dan's, interrupting him. The kiss was ecstatic and hyperactive. It was just as lively as the song. Phil's hands slowly lowered until they settled around Dan's waist, while Dan snaked his hands around Phil's neck. The best part was that no one noticed adam or Phil. No one screamed "faggots" or threw plastic cups at the two. Everyone was either too engrossed in the music or too drunk to fix their eyes on them.

A space soon revealed itself in front of their curled-into-ovejoyed-grins-lips. "God, I love you Phil," Dan shouted, but he still sounded as quiet as if he was whispering due to the audience cheering as Muse bowed weakily, drenched in sweat and disappeared off stage. "this has been the best birthday present ever.".

"Best non-birthday present ever." Phil laughed.

Most people left with the arena with biggest beam on their faces, while others looked completely miserable and tired. Dan and Phil of course were the happy-as-Larry type. They walked into the cold, night, filled with thousands of twinkling stars exaggerating how magical the experience felt anyway. Dan and Phil roamed the pavement, with fingers entwined, looking out for a cab to drive by. Being London, a city literally overpopulated with jet black cabs, a minute later, one appeared and slowed down as Phil waved to signal 'stop'.

The taxi driver was much less uncanny this time, also a mid 30s woman, not a 50 year old man. Even at midnight, she had a strong, welcoming and bedazzling smile. Shoulder length red curly hair, dark blue eyes, fair skinned and ridden with light ginger freckles. "Hi!" she said, as the two crawled into the cab, their body relaxing with relief after standing up for 1 hour . "Good concert, boys?".

The Muse fans faced each other and exchanged smile. "Yes!" they both said in synchronisation.

"Good, good," the lady smiled and waited as Dan rooted in his wallet for the money, "never really got into Muse's music, but my parents are big fans.".

Dan and Phil nodded in agreement and lazily slouched in taxi, their heads resting against each other. "Are you two dating? Probably a stupid question." The cab driver questioned, still wearing her welcoming smile.

"Yeah, we have for 5 months." Phil smiled with pride.

"That's so cute. Well, I think you two are a lovely couple.".

Dan and Phil slightly blushed, their eyes meeting. It made Dan feel so happy when anyone accepted him. This day just went by so quickly, but either way, it was so perfect. Their fingers once again entangled.

Dan gave the address to red head and after a 10 minute drive filled with friendly conversations, the cab pulled up right in front of the doors of the travel lodge. "You two have a nice night now.".

"We will, we will." Dan actually giggled.
