Chapter 20: Boy in the picture, Part 2

*Author's P.O.V*

The time was now after Akazeto had graduated college.

Toba and Akazeto were currently sitting on a hill as they looked at the starry night sky.

"Hey," said Akazeto. "Toba..."

"Yes?" asked Toba as he looked at Akazeto.

Akazeto hesitated for a moment. "W-what are your plans after high school... You know, like living here or... Going to another dimension?"

Toba shook his head. "I want to be with you Onii-chan! No matter what!"

Akazeto sighed. "Toba, did Mimi tell you she was pregnant?"

Toba's eyes widened. He then smiled. "That's great! Who's the father?"

Akazeto gulped. "I am..."

A breeze blew past the two males and rustled the leaves of the surrounding trees in the forest area.

Toba felt his throat become dry with a golf ball sized lump sitting right in the middle of it. After a few moments, he managed to mutter a simple, "Oh..."

"I plan on marrying her," said Akazeto as he looked away from Toba.

Toba then stood to his feet and smiled a wry smile. He trembled slightly as tears began to fall from his chestnut eyes. "I hope... You two have a happy life together..."

Toba then walked away.

The skipping scenes were of Toba sitting in his room being depressed. He looked so helpless and full of gloom. Eventually, they landed at the wedding. Toba was, of course, Akazeto's best man and he did everything with a smile on his face. Then, it was time for the baby's birth and Toba was there for his friend again... The baby was a girl, who they named Stacy.

One day Mimi came over to Toba's house wondering if he could be a live-in-nanny of some sorts.

"You were the first person that came to mind," said Mimi as she smiled. "I know Stacy really loves spending time with you and-"

"I accept," said Toba as he smiled. "I have nothing else to do around here..."

"That would be wonderful!" exclaimed Mimi as she grinned. "Can I use your phone to call Akazeto and tell him?"

Toba nodded.

'I knew this may have been wrong for my health,' Toba's thoughts rang. 'In the end, even if they were married... I only wanted to be around the person I loved... Even if...'

It had been, at least, six months since Toba had moved in. He had been able to talk with Akazeto as much as he wanted and spend a lot of time with Stacy. She was so precious!

He was currently carrying a basket of fresh clothes that he had hung near a river after washing them and walking home.

Then, he heard a scream. It was Stacy and Mimi!

Toba dropped the basket and rushed to the house.

"What's wro-" Toba was cut of by the sight of Mimi and Stacy hiding behind Akazeto as he blocked a black blob like monster from getting its claws to touch any of them with his sword.

"What is that thing?!" Toba yelled eyes filled with terror.

"Get back Toba! Run!" yelled Akazeto as the monster decided to go after him.

Toba gasped and dodged the monster's slashes. He then transformed into his demonic angel form. He made his reaper scythe appear and attacked the blob.

"Don't!" yelled Akazeto. But, it was too late.

The attack hit the blob and it began to change form. It looked more human and had scythe blades coming from its back. The man like thing grinned, teeth pointed and sharp. He then went straight for Toba again, this time being able to land a punch.

Toba crashed into a tree. As the monster came after him, 'I see an opening!' Toba then smiled. Yes, he had seen an opening to strike and kill the monster now that he knew the thing's abilities... However, the final blow would mean Toba's death.

'I'm okay with this,' thought Toba. 'I'm fine as long as Akazeto lives... As long as he is able to live happily I'll be okay. As long as...'

Toba prepared himself. This was it, and he knew it. He waited for the pain, but it did not come. Toba slowly opened his eyes and watched in horror. Akazeto had just been stabbed... The blood that had splattered and the grunt of pain that had erupted from him proves it.

Toba watched as the monster yelped in pain from the light sword that pierced into him. He watched as the monster clenched onto his being and crystallized. He watched as the monster fell apart, and turned into dust.

Toba watched as Akazeto fell to the ground. He rushed over to Akazeto's side and looked at the five stab wounds the monster had given him.

"Onii-chan?" he asked still not believing this was happening. "Let's go to the hospital... We can get you help there..."

Akazeto shook his head. "Stop it Toba..."

"What do you mean?" asked a shaking Toba. "We have to get you checked! We have to! We have to-!"

"Toba!" Akazeto yelled.

Toba cried. "We have to do something..."

Akazeto then put his hand on Toba's cheek. "It's the end for me Toba..."

"No," said Toba. "We can-"

"Toba," interrupted Akazeto. "I'm done. This world is a cruel place, and I'm actually sad to leave you living in it without me being there for you..."

Toba sniffled.

"I want you to keep being yourself. Keep living, Toba, promise me."

Toba nodded his head and said, "I promise." He was then pulled into a kiss by Akazeto as he smiled afterward.

"I really do love you Toba... I always have..."

"I love you too," responded Toba as he cried.

Akazeto's hand then fell from Toba's face.

The time froze, and everything flashed white.

As everyone returned from the past, Toba stood and sighed.

"I guess you showed them the memories," said Toba as he smiled weakly. "Why else would Elizabeth, Finny, Mey Rin, and even Bardroy be crying..."

Toba then smiled. "Come on guys!" he cheered. "Let's get on with this small vacation brought to you by me."

Everyone then glanced at each other.

Elizabeth then smiled. "Yeah, let's have fun!"

It was now the middle of the night and Crystal had woken up to check on Toba. She walked to his room and gently opened the door. She smiled at the sight.

As punishment for the picture, Toba had Ciel and Sebastian sleep with him. (Not in that way people... ;))

Crystal was honestly relieved that Toba could find people who he hadn't grown up with to get along with. She was happy that he could talk to more people instead of play games with them. However, on this very night, she felt a shiver, a deep cold chill that could freeze over the equator.

"What was that?" she asked herself. Crystal then shook her head.
