Alan loved to wear sweaters, no matter the time of the season, whether it was day or night, he wore a sweater. It was the safe, cozy texture it gave off that made him love them so much. A few people found it strange that the boy always wore a sweater, skinny jeans and either vans or toms. Others found it adorable that he wore something oversized and big, they could barely look away. Now, Alan wasn't popular at school, no. He just so happened to be so cute, adorable, kind, and so innocent that people fawned over him, but he didn't seem to care. As long as he was happy with what he wore and how he felt like he looked, he was okay.

Alan was currently in the middle of trying to get his hair to do something better than just flop around. Some mornings he just woke up and his hair looked hot, but others, it was a total disaster...like right now. It just wasn't working. No matter how many times he ran his fingers or a comb through it nothing worked. He sighed in frustration and decided to just give up before turning to his closet and grabbing a pair of toms. He wore a dark red sweater and black skinny jeans today, feeling very approving of his outfit. After all, it is his favorite sweater.

After a very delicious breakfast from his mom, Alan heard his best friend's car honking outside. Alan's mother gave him a kiss goodbye before heading off to work, waving at Aaron as she walked to her car. Alan grinned and walked down the driveway, opening up the passenger door to hear Green Day playing throughout the speakers of the small car. Alan chuckled at his best friend, climbing into the passenger seat. Aaron grinned and drove off to school, drumming his fingers against the steering wheel. He and Alan just laughed and sang along to the songs shuffling on his stereo. Their love for music was big.

They pulled up into the school parking lot, Aaron finding somewhere to park. Before long the two were climbing out of the car and walking into the school. Alan grabbed book from his locker and walked to first period. Aaron didn't share his first through fourth period with Alan, but after lunch, all the rest of them were together and during that time was when the two were more energetic.

Alan smiled fondly at the teacher as he walked through the door. Many of the teachers liked being greeted by Alan. He was so warming and happy. Alan found his seat towards the back, seeing that there was an unfamiliar face sitting in the desk beside him. No one ever sat there, it was apparently to close to the air conditioner, Alan didn't care, he always had a sweater on. He was confused though, surely this boy that was sitting in the desk beside Alan had to come this morning, he wasn't there Friday. Either way, Alan sat down in his seat and smiled at the boy.

"Good morning, you're new, obviously." He spoke, smiling at the boy who just stared at him, a hard glare forming. Alan continued to smile though, he wanted to make a nice and warm first impression of the new boy.

"What's your name?" Alan asked, the boy stared at him longer and more harder. "I'm Alan." He added, smiling more. The boy rolled his eyes, obviously seeing that this kid wasn't going to give up until he talked.

"I'm Austin," he mumbled, rolling his eyes at how Alan gawked and smiled.

"That's a nice name," he said. "Where are you from?"

"Do you ever shut up?" Austin snapped, Alan closed his mouth, his cheeks warming up as he stared at the floor.

"Sorry, I didn't mean to make you angry." Alan said softly, feeling stupid for even speaking in the first place. Austin rolled his eyes and sat back in his seat, crossing his arms. Alan didn't say anything else as he bit his lip and watched everyone continuing to file into the classroom. Once the final bell to be inside class rang, the teacher began. Alan's mood did seem to get better as the class went on, though he still felt upset for how this Austin boy just snapped at him. Oh well, maybe he was just upset or something?
