The next morning came quicker than had hoped. It was an hour before noon and Ms. Ashby had woken up the boys so that they could get dressed. Alan slowly climbed out of bed, sighing as he ran fingers through his hair. Austin was trying to fight himself to not roll over and go back to sleep. He glanced over at Alan who was rubbing at his eyes, he smiled and pulled the boys hips.
"Aust," Alan groaned, trying to push the brunette away but failed and ended laying down with Austin burying his face in his neck and his arms wrapping around his waist. Alan sighed and ran fingers through the older boys hair, hearing quiet little grunts.
"We have to get up and get going, Aust." Alan said, the brunette shook his head.
"I don't want to go, Ash. I don't want to leave and lose you, I just got you back and now I'm having to let you go again." Austin said, letting out a shaky breath.
"You're not losing me again baby, I promise. You'll only be some hours away, it's not like you're moving back to Florida or somewhere that even further," Alan said softly. "And besides, even if you were moving all the across the country from me, we'd make it work."
Austin didn't say anything, only held the boy closer. He didn't want to let go, not now, not ever, but of course Alan rolled away, getting out of bed and gathering some clothes before heading across the hallway and into the bathroom. He took a quick shower, washing his hair and body before getting out and pulling on his Hard Rock Cafe sweatshirt and some skinny jeans. When he walked out of the bathroom, Austin was pulling on his jeans and tossing the shorts to floor. He smiled at the boy as he walked further into the room, not being able to resist going over to him and wrapping his arms around his small waist. The brunette pressed a warm lingering kiss to Alan's forehead.
"We've got to get going Aust," the ginger said softlt, glancing up at his boyfriend as he pulled away. The brunette let out a sigh and nodded, pulling on his shoes and allowing Alan to drag him downstairs. Mrs. Ashby met them at the door and gave Austin a big hug, wishing him a safe trip to California before pushing the two down the street so they weren't late.
Austin kept a tight grip on Alan's hand the entire walk to his house. He was almost tempted to turn around and never return, to live off on his own and stay with Alan, but he wasn't eighteen yet and his father wouldn't allow it.
The house got closer the more they walked and Alan ran his thumb back and forth on Austin's hand to sooth him the closer they got. The moving truck was parked in the driveway and Austin could see his old man tipping off the workers for helping with packing the rest of the boxes into the truck. It all became more of a reality when the couple was stood at the end of the driveway, watching with their chests tight and their gripped hands not failing to let go.
"Alright, here's the address if we somehow end up being split." Mr. Carlile said, handing the driver a piece of paper who nodded and got into the vehicle.
"Come on Aust, we need to be getting on the road." His old man said, Alan turned to his boyfriend, his bottom lip beginning to quiver. It was all becoming so real again.
"Th-This is it." He said softly, looking up at the tall brunette. Austin gave a jerky nod, his eyes pricking with tears. He reached up, brushing his thumbs across the gingers cheeks, ridding of the tears.
"I-I love y-you, so m-much." Austin said, Alan bit his bottom lip, grinning softly.
"Does that m-mean we'll b-be that c-couple wh-who Skypes and ca-calls each other a-all the time?" He asked, Austin laughed and nodded, pushing a strand of hair behind the boys ear.
"Of course baby," Austin whispered. The small boy grinned and stood on up his tiptoes, pressing a sweet kiss to the brunettes lips.
"I love you, too, Aust." Alan whispered as he pulled away. Austin was still in a daze, his eyes closed and a small smile forming before he pulled the boy back and kissed him again.
"Come on Austin, we've got to get going." His old man said. Austin sighed and pulled away, resting his forehead against Alan's.
"Promise me," he said, "that no matter what happens, no matter how frustrating we get at each other, no matter what I might say to you that'll make you upset, or what'll happen while I'm away from you, promise me you'll remember I still love you, even when the going gets tough."
"I promise." Alan whispered, Austin kissed him hard before pulling away again and walked up the driveway to get into the car where his old man was waiting. Alan stood there, watching as the car and moving trucked pulled away and down the street. Five and a half months may not have seemed like a very long time, but it was. Five and half months without Austin was something that Alan didn't want to get used to, ever. He only wished that this was a dream and that when he woke up, Austin's arms were going to be wrapped around him and that he would give him a sweet kiss and tell him that it was alright, but that couldn't happen again until school was over.
The ginger stood there for a little while longer before walking home where his mom, Aaron, Alex, Kellin and Vic were all sat on the couch, ready to comfort the boy when he cried, only Alan didn't cry, he just smiled. He was happy that Mr. Carlile got a better job, and sure Alan was sad that that job required for Austin and his dad to leave, but he felt like this was a good thing, even if it was heartbreaking. All he had to keep telling himself was that Austin was going to be back, it just took time.
Austin was going to be back, Alan was going to be happy, they were going to he happy and everything would be perfect again.

Yeah, this is the end but there'll be an epilogue so yay
