For the rest of the Friday afternoon, Austin didn't let his ginger boyfriend go. He kept tight, comfortable arms around the boys waist, kissing at neck and lips, smiling when he heard him giggle.
If he had to move, he wasn't leaving without a fight. He was going to make his old man see how really happy he was here and how much he's changed since he's been with Alan. Austin tried really hard to get his friends to understand that he wasn't up for parties much anymore, and he tried to stay away from alcohol when times got really hard. The boy was really trying and he had to get some kind of credit for it.
Alan laid his head on Austin's shoulder, smiling when he felt the older boy kiss the top of his head. He had pushed what Austin had told him earlier in the morning to the far walls of his mind, hoping that he could just forget about it all.
"How much does a polar bear weigh?" Austin asked randomly causing Alan to raise his head and look at him curiously.
"What?" He questioned.
"Enough to break the ice." The brunette said, snorting. Alan shook his head, faking an unimpressed look.
"That was terrible." Alan said, making Austin gasp loudly.
"That's the best pick-up line ever!" He defended himself, Alan shook his head again, grinning.
"It was terrible," the small boy mumbled, running his fingers through his boyfriends hair. Austin rolled his eyes and gave the boy a peck on the lips.
"Whatever," he muttered. Alan giggled and went to kiss him again but Austin only turned his head. The ginger pouted cutely, his bottom lip poked out and his eyes looking sad, Austin would've given in to it but he stood his ground, crossing his arms and looking at everything and anything other than Alan. Because heaven knows, one look at the adorable boy and everything he was standing for would go far down the drain.
"I just want a kiss." Alan mumbled.
Austin stared at the wall, not daring to look at the boy who sighed loudly and puffed his cheeks out slightly.
"Aust," the ginger whined slightly.
"You said my pick-up line was terrible," Austin said, glancing at the boy for only a slight second.
"I can't help that it's true!" Alan said, Austin narrowed his eyes and looked at his boyfriend whose bottom lip was still stuck out and moved his hands to the small boys sides, wiggling his fingers quickly, grinning when Alan let out a squeal, jerking back.
"Don't do that." Alan demanded, trying to sound all serious but failing when Austin tickled him again. "Stop!" He pushed the older boys hands away and crawled out of his lap, going to the farthest end of the couch, far away from his boyfriend.
They grinned at each other but the playful mood was interrupted with Austin's phone buzzing in his pocket. The brunette frowned, pulling the damned thing out of his pocket, frowning even more when he saw who had texted him. His old man, telling him that he should be home no later than seven so they can talk again, but Austin didn't want to think about that, not ever.
Alan crawled back into his boyfriends lap, wrapping his arms around his neck. Austin looked up, smiling and clicking his phone off before tossing it to the side before grabbing the ginger boys hips and pulling him closer. They shared a sweet kiss but Austin pulled away slightly, thinking of an idea.
"Do you wanna go out?" He mumbled against the gingers lips.
"What do you have in mind?"
。。。
"You suck at this game," Austin said, taking the ball and making it through the hoop like he had many times before.
"Oh shut up." Alan muttered, rolling his eyes and he took another ball. Austin snorted and watched as his boyfriend tossed the ball and barely missed it from the goal. The ginger groaned, hearing the buzzer go off as Austin made another.
"It isn't very fair when you've obviously played this before." Alan said, crossing his arms. The brunette shrugged, smiling as he made another shot.
They were in the arcade at the mall, deciding that they both had had enough of looking around in stores for the hour that they were there. Austin had spotted the little arcade and instantly pulled the small boy to it, wanting to play to a few games and instantly crushing Alan at them.
Alan rolled his eyes and began to walk away as the buzzer to the stupid game went off again. Austin grinned and quickly grabbed the boy by his hips, pulling him back and burying his face in his neck. Alan sighed and smiled.
"You're so cute when you pout baby," the brunette mumbled, kissing Alan's cheek.
"I'm not pouting you idiot." The small boy muttered, pushing Austin away. He snorted and grabbed Alan back again, wrapping his arms around the boys waist.
"How about we get something to eat, yeah?" Austin asked, the ginger gave a little hum, not really caring. They walked around the mall until getting to the food court, Alan sighing when Austin won the argument of who was going to pay for the food, like always.
Alan's order was called first, so he took the opportunity to find them a seat, which was a table outside near the fountain. The brunette smiled and found his boyfriend, sitting down beside him and kissing his cheek. They ate, giggling at one another and sharing sweet kisses before deciding it was time to go and walked back to Alan's house. Thankfully Ms. Ashby wasn't at home, knowing how she'd become if she found out that Alan was out while being 'sick'.
The two boys laid down on the couch, flipping on a movie and munching on popcorn. The thought of tomorrow being Saturday didn't settle down in Alan's mind and the anxious attitude of needing to know what his old man made for his decision didn't settle down in Austin's either. They were both desperate to know and dreaded it all together. This was something that could either make them or break them, and just hopefully the couple could pull through.
