Alan was like a white fury as he hurried down the street to Aaron's house where he knew for a fact that his stupid boyfriend was at. He didn't even bother to knock as he walked right inside and went straight for the living room where all the boys were sat, taking turns in playing video games. Luckily Austin was sat on the couch, laughing at Vic and Aaron's competitiveness between each other. The ginger stormed over and grabbed the older boys wrist, pulling him up from the couch and yanking him outside.
"Whoa, baby what's wrong?" Austin questioned as the boys watched curiously as he was being dragged out. Alan didn't even answer as they got outside and he slammed the door closed. He let go of the brunettes wrist and crossed his arms, trying to fight back the many tears that were threatening to spill over.
"I ran into Shay at the mall earlier," Alan said straightforward. Austin's stomach instantly dropped and his throat tightened. "He told me about what happened at the party you ended up at a few weeks ago before you showed up at house drunk and high." The ginger glared at the older boy, forcing himself to stay strong.
"I don't know what he told you-"
"You almost cheated you asshole!" Alan screamed, cutting Austin off who was shocked that the boy even said a curse word, it sounded so foreign coming from his mouth, but he was even more shocked that Alan even so much as believed what that stupid fucker told him.
"I didn't-"
"I don't care if you didn't! The fact that you almost did makes me so angry! The fact that you always go out to get drunk when something tough comes along makes me even angrier because you forget that you can come and talk to me!"
"None of that happened, Alan!" Austin snapped. "You should never believe what Shay tells you or what anyone he knows tells you because they're all lies."
"How do I know that?! You've been all over him before when you're drunk, so what stops you every time you get drunk?!" Alan demanded.
"Because I don't like Shay! He was always there when I was drunk and I didn't know what I was thinking most of the time, but the last time I went to a party, I had not once saw Shay. You can ask Ahren or Phil if you'd like because I was with them, but oh no, if you don't believe me, your fucking boyfriend and would much rather believe some bastard who is trying so hard to ruin everything I have, go right ahead!"
"Maybe I will," Alan muttered, his bottom lip trembling. As much as it broke Austin's heart to see the boy cry, it didn't calm his anger.
"Then it's settled, we're breaking up." And if Alan wasn't crying then, he most certainly was now. He stared at Austin, completely heartbroken. He quickly rushed off the front porch and down the driveway, sobbing uncontrollably. Austin had to swallow the lump in his throat as he turned and went inside.
"What was with all that yelling?" Jack asked, Austin shook his head and pulled on his jacket.
"I-I've got to get home guys, I'll see you later." He said softly and left out, heading home.
Alan didn't bother answering the calls of his name from his mom as he entered the house and hurriedly went upstairs. He felt broken and hurt. After everything that was going so well between the couple, something had to come along and break them, and of course it was Shay. It would always be Shay.
"Sweetie, open the door." Alan's mom demanded, knocking on his bedroom door over and over again. The ginger just laid in his bed and cried into his pillow until he fell asleep, ignoring the calls from the other side of the door. He didn't want to be bothered, he just wanted to be okay.
。。。
It was later in the evening when Austin finally got home. He had walked around for hours, almost tempted to go to Alan's house to apologize, but then he'd become angry because he remembered how his supposed boyfriend believed someone else rather than him, the one who was telling the truth.
"Where have you been all day?" His old man asked as he walked through the front door.
"Out." Austin muttered.
"Well you're half past normal curfew." His old man said, looking his son.
"Can we just..." Austin sighed, "can we not talked about it, please? It's been a really long and rough day."
"Alright, fine, dinner will be ready in an hour."
Austin didn't reply but went upstairs to his room, kicking off his shoes and pulling his jacket off. He replaced his jeans for shorts and plopped down on the bed, running fingers through his hair.
The feelings in his stomach felt so foreign and he hated it. All he wanted was for Shay to disappear out of his life. He regretted ever first sleeping with him and all he wanted was to go back into time and stop it all, maybe then he and Alan would still be together, but it still made him angry. The fact that Alan decided the believe someone else that wasn't even trustworthy made Austin want to kill Shay for opening his damn mouth and spilling out lies.
Austin sighed in frustration and threw something across the room, hearing it shatter as it came into contact with the wall. His anger built up more and more and he ended up destroying about half of his room. Everything was on the floor, either smashed into pieces or ruined. He didn't even bother to clean it all up as he went downstairs just as dinner was called.
The brunette didn't speak as he sat down at the dinner table and pushed at his food. He was still very upset and angry and he missed Alan so much already, of course he did, he was in love with the small boy.
"What's wrong son?" His old man asked.
"Nothing." Austin muttered, staring down at his plate.
"Well, when's that boy going to come back over? I enjoyed his company." Austin's jaw clenched.
"We broke up." He said, glancing up at his old man to see him surprised.
"Why? When did this happen?" He asked.
"I'm not hungry." The brunette ignored the question and stood, tossing what was left on his plate away before heading back upstairs.
Alan was sat on his bed, knees up to his chest as Kellin and Aaron tried to comfort him. Kellin was rubbing the boys back while Aaron sat at the edge of the bed, staring at his heartbroken best friend. The boy couldn't stop crying, not matter how hard he tried. His tears would dry for the slightest moment before he began all over again.
Stupid Shay. Stupid Austin. God, why did Alan have to be so stupid? Why did he have to be so involved? He didn't know what to believe, whether it be his now ex boyfriend or the boy Austin has slept with when drunk. Shay seemed so serious when telling Alan about what happened at the party, and anything could have honestly happened at that party, and as heartbreaking as it was to think about, Austin could have actually gone up to Shay and begged him to go upstairs, anything could have possibly happened and the simple thought it if made Alan cry harder.
"It's okay," Kellin cooed, pushing strands of hair from the boys face as he cried. Alan sniffled and wiped his eyes, taking deep breaths as he tried to calm down.
"C-Can you guys j-just go or something? I-I want to go to bed." The ginger spoke softly, his voice rough from crying so much. Kellin nodded and stood up, Aaron following behind him. They left with soft goodbyes and closed the door, leaving. Alan bit his lip, getting out of bed and changing his clothes. He pulled on a pair of sweat pants and the all too familiar Hard Rock Cafe sweatshirt and crawled into bed, pulling the covers over his head and crying himself to sleep.
