Chapter 33
(Hollyheart's P.O.V)
"You may now finish your silent vigil" Robinstar meowed "Thank you for guarding our camp"
She then paded off towards her den.
Ashclaw let out a sigh, "Finally I can talk" he laughed.
"It must have been so hard for you" I joked swatting his flank playfully.
"Oh shut up"
"Hollyheart, Ashclaw!" Brindlefur's voice called out, I whipped my head towards her voice and found her standing beside the warrior's den with a bright smile.
I quickly raced to the warriors den no longer feeling tired or weak but happy. I nearly jumped onto her in a fit of excitement. Brindlefur giggled the whole time as if we were apprentices again; it felt good and I thought about the journey and how I won't see her or Ashclaw for a while, I'll have to tell them.
"Hey I have to talk to you" I meowed to them after a moment.
"What is it?" Brindlefur asked.
"Can't I sleep first?" Ashclaw complained.
"No, I have to tell you now" I insisted. "Come on"
"Why do we have to leave camp? What's wrong? Are you in trouble?" Brindlefur's questions came like a rush as always.
"No time to explain just come on"
Together we padded out of camp; passing Blizzardchaser, Stormbreeze and Mousepaw as we did so. I brought them just outside of camp and hurried underneath a tall fern bush.
"What are you doing?" Ashclaw asked as he swatted away a fern leaf that was irritating him.
"I have to tell you something very important" I meowed.
"What is it?" Brindlefur demanded "Your scaring me"
"Don't be scared or worried" I steadied my voice and looked at the both of them "I recieved a prophecy"
Ashclaw and Brindlefur were silent and stiff; they said absolutely nothing and Brindlefur's jaw seemed to be dropping than she smiled.
"I can't believe! I knew it! I knew you were different and special" Brindlefur exclaimed.
I wasn't sure if I was supposed to be happy or offended about her response but I was more focused on Ashclaw's he was still silent.
"What was the prophecy?" he asked finally.
"I am to go on a journey in a few days" I mumbled, Ashclaw sighed and instantly Brindlefur stopped being excited.
"What! How long will you be gone?" she asked.
"I'm not sure... Starclan hasn't told us the details yet"
"Us?" Ashclaw meowed.
"Me, Minnowpaw, Pounceclaw, Shalelight, and Echobreeze"
Ashclaw made a growling noise and flicked his tail "I don't like that Pounceclaw; if he touches you I'll-"
"STOP!" I yelled "You sound like mother"
"I do not want you going" Ashclaw said firmly.
Brindlefur rolled her eyes "Come on Ashclaw, I don't want her to go either but she must, it's Starclan's will"
"But it's not my will" Ashclaw grumbled.
"Well I don't need your permission" I snapped "I'll be fine, Ashclaw" I tired licking his cheek but he shrugged me off.
