(Minnowkit's P.O.V)

I rolled onto my side, I could hear the cats returning from the gathering, chatting and telling stories of the nights events while I sat inside the nursery with two lame brothers and two lazy queens who do nothing but gossip. I want to be out their in the clearing, with the apprentices and out in the wild experiencing my life! Anticipation and impatience were eating away at me in a burning need to be out and enjoying life! I can't take this any longer!

I felt like standing and screaming to Starclan that I was now six moons and part of a prophecy why can't I be an apprentice! I clawed my nest, scattering some moss around causing Mousekit to wake up drowsily. 

"What are you doing?" He asked. 

"I CAN'T SLEEP!" I growled. 

"Ugh well try!" Mousekit grumbled then rolled to his other side. 

Even mother was out in the clearing socializing with Dustclover, I felt like running into the clearing and joining their conversation but I knew I would probably get in trouble if I even stepped out of the nest. 

Instantaneously the entrance of the den shook and mother's speckled head popped in, she sighed when she noticed I was awake. 

"How did I know you wouldn't sleep" she sighed somewhat jokingly. 

"I want to be an apprentice! I am six moons now you know" I mumbled, crossing my paws. 

Leopardspots and Dustclover exchanged a mischievous grin and looks, I arched a brow. 

"What?" I asked.

"Well hunny tomorrow you and your brother's will be recieving your apprentiship!" she purred curling in the nest with me. 

I'm sure my jaw was on the floor, this was AMAZING! Finally all my wishes were coming true!

"YES! I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS! AHHH" I screeched happily, Littlekit and Mousekit sprang out of the nest in shock before mom could stop me from screaming. 

"Minnowkit! Look what you've done!" Leopardspots scoled, grabbing Mousekit and Littlekit by the scruff and placing them into the nest gently. 

"What is she screaming about?" Littlekit yawned. 

"I'm sure she'll tell you" Dustclover purred. 

"WERE GOING TO BE APPRENTICES TOMORROW!" I yowled, boucing up and down. 

 "WHAT? I CAN'T BELIEVE THIS!" Mousekit yowled, instantly awake. 

"This is so exciting I wonder who are mentors will be?" Littlekit asked his eyes sparkling with amusement and happiness. 

"Now they'll be up all night" Dustclover joked to Leopardspots. 

"I shall hope not!" Leopardspots meowed sternly yet her voice was fond and proud of her first litter. "Come on time for bed" she purred. 

"Come on!" Mousekit whinned. 

"I want to stay up all night and wait for the ceremony" I meowed proudly curling my tail over my small paws. 

"Minnowkit if you don't sleep now then you'll be tired and your mentor won't be able to take you around territory" Leopardspots pointed out somewhat smugly, I sighed. 

"I suppose your right" I dragged my tail to the nest and hopped in, curling comfortably beside Littlekit and mother's side and drifted into the best sleep ever!

 (Hollypaw's P.O.V) *The Next Day*

That night had been the worst night of my life, my already beaten and bruised heart seemed to be ripped from my chest and squished in the snow. My eyes were damp and red from tears and my pelt was a mess from tossing and turning all night
