Chapter 11
I was sitting on my couch watching reruns of I Love Lucy when I heard a knock at the door. I placed my bowl of ice-cream on the ground and stood up quickly and practically skipped to the door.
I pulled Ash into my arms and kissed him. His tongue slid through my mouth and I didn’t stop until I was desperate for breath. I giggled and pulled him inside.
We walked into the lounge room together and I shut the curtains just in case anyone decided to walk past and peer inside.
“So do you plan on doing any writing or are we just going to hang out?” He smirked at me and we both sunk down into the couch. He picked up the bowl of ice-cream from the floor and scooped some into his mouth. I frowned so he scooped some out and placed the spoon in my mouth. I licked the ice-cream from it then returned the spoon to him for more.
“We could do a little of both. Maybe ‘hang out’ a little then write and then definitely hang out some more.” I suggested. “Maybe we could write about ‘hanging out’.”
He shrugged and fed me another spoonful. “I guess we could. I assume both agree that ‘hanging out’ means making out right?”
I nodded with a mischievous grin. “Definitely.”
So we snuggled up on the couch and I rested my head on his broad chest. We continued watching TV until I started to dose of. Ash must’ve seen my eyes close because he leant down and kissed my lips.
“You have to stay awake.” He whispered, alluring me to sit up.
I looked up at him and smiled. “You’re going to have to wake me up.”
So he did. Then we were interrupted by a knock at the door.
I jumped up. “I bet that’s Caden, do you want to hide?”
He smirked. “Do you want me to hide?”
“Just sit on the couch, I don’t care what you do down here, start writing maybe. You’ll find paper and pens on the table. I’ll take him out the back.” I told him sounding a little frantic.
“So you two can ‘hang out’?” He didn’t sound jealous but I kind of wished he did.
I turned to him kissed him once more then jogged for the door. “Hey Caden what’s up?”
He looked at me awkwardly. “You look exhausted and your hair looks less than perfect. Did I wake you up?”
I laughed. “Um, sorta’ I was drifting off.”
He peered past me into the house. “Well can I come in then?”
“We’ll go out the back and talk.” I told him dragging him past the opening of the lounge room and towards the back door. “Do you want a drink?”
“Depends, do I need to brace myself and will I be here long?” He wondered.
I shrugged. “I’ll go get you one.”
So I snuck off into the kitchen and opened the fridge. Ash caught me from behind.
“Are you going to get me a drink?” He wondered.
I turned to look at him and smiled. “You can have whatever you like.”
But I pulled out the iced water and poured two glasses, handed one to Ash and kept the other one there for Caden.
“You’re not having one?” Ashe wondered.
I grabbed his from his hand. “I figured I could have a sip of yours. Can you wait like ten minutes?”
