Jayden's POV
Kendall fed me another strawberry. "Kendall stop." I giggled. He smiled, eating the rest of the berry. I moved the stuff and laid on his chest.
"How are you feeling?"
"I'm okay." I smiled, looking up at him. He smiled and wrapped his arms around me. "Come on." We got up and I pulled on my hoodie. I grabbed the keys.
"Where are we going?"
"A walk." I smiled. He grabbed my hand. We walked out. We walked downstairs. My parents walked in.
"Where are you two going?" My dad eyed us.
"A walk." Kendall squeezed my hand. "We'll be back."
"When?"
"Before 10." I looked at Kendall.
"No. We'll be back before midnight." I rolled my eyes. "At least by 11, at most by 12." My mom pulled my dad to the couch. Kendall and I walked out.
"What the hell was that?" Kendall grabbed my arm.
"He needs to stop treating me like a baby." I jerked my arm away. "Seriously why the fuck are you so worried?"
"He's going to kill me!" I rolled my eyes.
"My dad isn't going to hurt you. He cares about my happiness which is why he hovers over us more than Jaylen."
"Or it could be because Kennedy can't get her pregnant." He chuckled. I nodded.
"That too." I smiled, hugging him. He picked me up, spinning me. "Kendall!" I giggled. He put me down and smiled. I latched onto his arm.
"So what can I give you tomorrow?" He looked down at me.
"Nothing. I don't want a present." I looked at my feet.
"Too bad. I already got you something."
"No." I whined. "Kendall I told you not to. Give it to Jaylen."
"Can't do that. I already got her something." He smiled.
"Just give it to her. I don't want your money to go to waste." I looked up at him. He nodded.
Kyle's POV
Marisol walked in and smiled. "Hi." I smiled. "How's your head?"
"It's doing better. I still get really bad headaches." She nodded, writing something down. "What is that?"
"I have to write down what condition you're in." She gave me two painkillers and a cup of water. I took the medicine and she took the cup. "I'll be back later with your food." I smiled.
"Thank you." She smiled, kissing my cheek. She walked out, smiling at my mom. "Hey mom."
"Hey. You and the nurse still?" I shook my head.
"We're just talking. I want to take her on a date when I get out of here. When will that be exactly?" I bit my lip.
"Next month." My eyes widened.
"I'm going to miss Jay's birthday!" She nodded. "Kendall and I promised to hang out with them tomorrow."
"Now you know not to drink so much." I rolled my eyes. "I talked to Kendall. Jayden told her what happened. The four of them are coming down here."
"I don- wait. Four?" I looked at her.
"Jaylen's bringing her girlfriend too. I picked up their gifts too." I nodded. Marisol came back with my food.
"The usual." I smiled. "Can I get you anything ma'am?" My mom shook her head.
"Thanks." Marisol nodded and walked out.
Jaylen's POV
Kennedy woke up and smiled at me. "Hi."
"Hey." I smiled. She sat up and stretched. I grabbed my phone. "Are you okay?" She nodded. "What if when you get ready, I come with you to tell your parents?" She smiled at me.
"You'd do that?" I nodded. "That would mean so much to me." She hugged me. I smiled. "Can we do it now?"
"Are you sure you want to?"
"Yeah." I nodded and got up. I looked at my baggy jeans and t-shirt then at her dress and got up.
"It might make a difference if I looked more presentable." I put on a strapless, red skater dress and a black blazer. I exchanged my ratty sneakers for flats. I quickly did my makeup and pinned my bangs back with a black bow.
"Wow." I looked at Kennedy. "You went from tomboy to girly girl in less than 5 minutes."
"Gender fluid." I slipped my phone in the pocket of my blazer. "I can be more of a boy one day and a girl the next." I combed out the tangles that formed from laying in bed. "Ready?" She nodded, getting up. I grabbed her hand, leading her out of the room. "Be back later dad." He nodded, walking into their room.
"Be careful." We walked down the stairs and out the door. We got in the car and I pulled off.
I looked at her house then at her. "Are you sure you want to do this?" She nodded, looking at the big mansion. I grabbed her hand, squeezing gently. She smiled and knocked. Adam opened the door and smiled.
"Hey." He let us in. "Kennedy, I'm so sorry our parents did that. My mom's a bitch at times and can be very persuasive. I think you two are cute together."
"Thanks Adam." She smiled. "Where's my dad?"
"He and my mom have been arguing ever since you left."She nodded. A woman came down the stairs and walked out. Her dad walked down and looked at us.
"Kennedy I am so sorry. Marie had upset me and I took my anger out on you. I'm so sorry." Kennedy got up.
"I'm fine dad. But I want you to meet my girlfriend, Jaylen." She smiled at me. I stood up.
"Hi." I shook her father's hand. "Nice to meet you-"
"Alexander. It's nice to meet you too." I smiled. "Would you care to join us for dinner?"
"That would be nice. Thank you."
"Dad can we get takeout?" He looked at Kennedy and smiled.
"Of course sweetheart."
Kendall's POV
I carried Jayden back home. "Babe. Where's the key?" She pointed to the plant. I looked behind it and grabbed the key. I unlocked the door and put the key back. I carried her inside.
"I can take her." I gave her to her dad. "Are you coming to get her tomorrow?" I nodded.
"The four of us are going to visit Kyle." He nodded.
"Take a seat." I sat on the couch. He carried her upstairs. He came back sitting across from me. "How long have you liked Jayden?"
"About a year and a half to two years." He nodded. "Mr. Scott I love her. I would never do anything to deliberately hurt her. Even if she wasn't my girlfriend I still wouldn't hurt her."
"I know." He smiled. "I haven't seen her that happy since the day you two met." I smiled, replaying the memories in my head. "I just worry because of her past."
"I understand sir. I don't like seeing her hurt either." I bit my lip. "I promise I'll do anything and everything I can to make her happy sir."
"Thank you." He smiled, shaking my hand. "See you tomorrow."
