Jaylen's POV

My dad had apologized to me and Kennedy for storming out like he did. He apologized to my aunt for swearing at her. Jayden left with Kendall and I was sitting in my bedroom with my girlfriend. "What's wrong?"

"The reason I don't like yelling." I nodded. "My mom. That was the last sound I heard before she died. My dad was trying to get her to go to rehab but she wouldn't go. He went on a business trip and she got fed up." She started crying and I grabbed her hand. "She abused me. A neighbor heard my screams and called the police. She found out and killed our neighbor. I moved and she pointed the gun at me. The police burst in and she cocked the gun. My eyes were screwed shut but I heard a shot." She sighed. "I opened my eyes when I didn't feel anything and heard a thud. She was laying lifeless on the floor, blood pooling from her torso, staining the white t-shirt. She was yelling and it mixed with my screams. Once I saw her dead on the floor, I yelled at the officers. They tried to help me and I grabbed the gun. I dropped it because my hands were too shaky." She looked at me.

I wiped her tears. "I am so sorry."

"It's okay." She looked down. "It's not your fault." I frowned. I followed her gaze and looked at her tattoo on her calf. It was in Greek.

"What does it mean?" My fingertips brushed the lettering.

"Stay strong."

Jayden's POV

"What are you getting?" I looked at Kendall.

"Jay and I agreed on matching ones. We're getting "Jay" with a basketball and music notes. And I'm probably getting "Princess" in Arabic and "Babygirl" in Hebrew." He chuckled.

"Because I call you babygirl and he calls you both princess and babygirl?" I nodded. "Where do you want them?"

"Arms and shoulder." He nodded. We pulled up to a tattoo parlor. We got out and walked inside.

"Hey! Long time no see Kendall." The girl behind the counter smiled. "Who's this?"

"My girlfriend. Jayden this is Kenzie, Kenzie this is Jayden." I grabbed his hand.

"This is who you broke up with me for? What a downgrade." I cocked an eyebrow.

"Excuse me bitch?" I was refraining from leaping over the desk.

"You heard me slut." She smirked, writing something. Kendall's arms wrapped his arms around me tightly.

"Babygirl she's not worth it."

"Babygirl? The only people that say that mushy shit are idiots."

"Kendall let me go." I struggled. I felt his muscles contract around me. "Get the hell off me!" I pushed him.

"No!" He held on tighter. "Calm down." I stopped. He loosened his grip and I jumped over the desk. I was pissed. I heard yelling and felt hands trying to pry me off. "Jay!" Kendall and two other guys pulled me off. "What the hell?"

"I'm sorry! She pissed me off. She called me a fucking downgrade! What did you even see in her?" He picked me up, throwing me over his shoulder and carried me to the car. He put me down and pressed me against the car, kissing me. He pulled away, resting his forehead on mine.

"Jay, I love you and you only." I looked down. "Hey hey. Look at me." I looked at him. "You kicked her ass." He chuckled. "Let's go get you those tattoos." He pecked my lips and got in the car.

"You have the worst exes." I mumbled, looking out the window.

"What's that?" He looked at me.

"Nothing!" I smiled. He chuckled, both of us getting out. He grabbed my hips.

"I heard what you said." He smirked.

"I speak the truth." I winked. He pecked my lips. "You're so touchy today." He shrugged, kissing me. I smiled into the kiss, my hands sliding up his arms. His arms snaked around my waist. I tried to pull away, him pulling me closer. "Kend-" He slipped his tongue in my mouth. I felt like we were being watched. I opened one eye and saw a group of people staring at us. I tapped his shoulder, rapidly.

He pulled away. "What's wrong?" I looked over his shoulder. He turned and chuckled. "My friends work here. They won't bite." He pecked my lips. "Come on."

"You done sucking the venom from her lips?" A girl with ombre purple hair smirked. "Hello love. I'm Sidney."

"I'm Jayden." I smiled. Kendall walked away and I went inside with Sidney. "I love your hair."

"Thanks. I did it myself." She ran a hand through it. "Glad to see my dear friend found a better girl than that Kenzie bitch. I hated her."

"Don't mention that slut. She called me a downgrade and I kicked her ass." I shook my head.

"Please tell me somebody got that on video."

"Yep. Someone recorded it and just sent it to me." We turned looking at Kendall. "You wanna watch while Jay helps me pick a tattoo?" She nodded taking his phone. He grabbed my hand.

"You're getting one too?" He nodded.

"I want us to get matching ones too."

"Okay." I smiled.

Kendall sat beside me. "Let me see." He took off his t-shirt. I smiled at the tattoo, tracing it.

"Alright Jayden. Your turn." I got up and followed Sidney. "Where do you want it?"

"Where do you think I should get it?" She looked at me.

"I think I know a spot. Shirt." I unbuttoned my shirt.

"There you go." I looked in the mirror.

"It's perfect. Thanks Sid." She smiled.

"You can fix your shirt and I'll be right back." She walked out. I took a picture of my tattoo and buttoned my shirt. Sidney came back. "Okay. You're good to go."

"Thanks again." I smiled.

"No problem." I followed her out and looked at Kendall. He had his head in his hands.

"Babe?" He looked up at me. "Are you okay?"

"Yeah. I'll meet you in the car." I nodded, kissing him. "Babe just go. Please."

"Okay." I walked out. I stood there with my ear pressed to the door.

"How much?"

"A kiss." My eyes widened. "Kendall you know I had a thing for you."

"And I have a promise to Jayden. I'm not kissing you." The room went silent. "Thank you for the tattoos." His footsteps got louder and I moved. He walked out and I grabbed his hand. "Jay."

"I eavesdropped. Thank you." I wrapped my arms around his neck in a hug. "I love you baby boy."

"I love you too babygirl." He pulled up my chin, kissing me softly. The door opened.

"Kendall you for-" Sidney stopped. "Y-you forgot your change." He pulled away.

"Keep it."

"Thank you. And I'm sorry for," She looked at me. "You know."

"She knows too." Sidney blushed.

"I'm sorry. I was jealous of you."

"It's okay." I smiled. Kendall wrapped an arm around my waist. "I can understand." She smiled. I hugged her. "Would you like to hang out with us?"

"I don't want to intrude."

"Oh come on!"
