A Year Later

Jaylen's POV

I walked in the house and smiled at Kennedy. "Hi." She smiled, getting up. I hugged her and pecked her cheek. "Haven't seen you in a year and you peck my cheek?" I kissed her hungrily. She pulled away, wiping her lipstick off my lips.

"Hey princess. Where's Sage?" I sat beside her. She gestured to the two year old asleep on the loveseat.

"Sleeping." I smirked.

"That's my baby girl." She rolled her eyes. Sage squirmed and woke up.

"Momma!" She smiled.

"Hi baby girl." I smiled. She clumsily climbed off the couch. I picked her up. She played with my hair. I kissed her cheek.

"Play?" She looked up at me.

"Come on." I carried her upstairs to her play room. I put her down and smiled.

"Mommy?" She pouted.

"Babe!" I called my wife. She appeared in the door. "Sage wants you to play with us." She smiled.

"Sorry boo but do you want to eat?" Sage nodded.

"I was going to do it." I got up.

"Bye bye momma." I smiled, kissing her chubby cheek.

"Sage." She looked at me covered in sauce from the pasta. I gave her a fork and Kennedy giggled. I finished my dinner and got up, washing the plate.

I looked at Sage who was struggling to stay awake. I grabbed a paper towel. I wiped her hands and face and picked her up. "Momma." She laid on my shoulder. I carried her to her her bedroom. "No." She whined.

"Go to sleep baby girl." I laid her in the crib. "Goodnight love." I kissed her head.

"Night momma." She yawned, cuddling her teddy bear. I walked out, turning off her light and turned on her lamp. I walked to my room, laying beside Kennedy.

"No dessert for me I guess." I smirked and she smiled sleepily at me.

"Not tonight." She giggled. I heard the thumps of little feet and turned to see Sage running in. "Sage?"

"Me!" She laughed.

"How did you get out of your crib?" I looked down at her. She climbed up and laid on my chest. "Did you climb out?" The toddler nodded, tracing the tattoo of her name on my arm.

"She learned that while you were gone." Kennedy looked at me. "I can't get her to stop."

"Sage baby you shouldn't climb out of the crib, you can get hurt." She pouted. The doorbell rang and she jumped off me. "Sage stop!" She giggled, opening the door. My sister looked at us.

"Bad timing?" I shook my head.

"Auntie?" Jayden looked down at her. "Up?" She picked up her niece.

"We've gotten new talents while I was on tour with you." Sage looked at me. "Come here princess." I took her. "We don't climb out of our cribs and we don't open doors okay?" Her lip poked out and her eyes watered.

"Okay." She buried her face in my neck. "Auntie." I sat her beside my sister.

"Where are the kids?"

"Kendall's getting them out." I nodded.

"I'll go help him." She nodded. I ran outside and took Adrienne.

"Thanks Jay." I nodded, closing the door. We went inside and Sage ran over to me.

"Momma mad?" I laid Adrienne on the couch and picked her up.
