Chapter 2

                                                                        EMILY
We walked in and I set down my back-pack, barely looking up from my phone which is opened to Kindle.
"Emily, why don't you come sit over here?" Says my dad as he gestures to the dining room table.
  "Ok." I still don't look up from my phone to take a seat. When I finally set it down, I look up at him and say, "What's up?"
  "Well, I'm just gonna come on out and say it." I pay attention to him like he's a teacher, just a little so he thinks he's got my attention. "When you're mom and I met, it wasn't in England. It was in Gyude."

MARY

"What's Gyude?" I ask, all jokes set aside, wondering if this is the beginning of a prank.
"It's a place for people with pow-" she stops herself. "Special Abilities."
"WHAT??? You have powers and you never told me?!?!?!?" As soon as I say this I remember my little incident with my frame, and feel a familiar sense.
"Let me finish, Mary. Yes, I have special powers, which is obviously why I lived there. It was the land of the heroes, all of us alike and together, keeping peace on Earth."

MACKENZIE

This was the craziest thing I had ever heard, I had so many questions, but I let mom continue.
"Of course since there is a Land of heroes, there is a land of the villains, called Alasï, And my father is one of those villains. The only reason my mother and father met is because when you are born, you don't start a villain, or a hero, you start in Walitopimania (Wall- E-tope-ah-main-E-ah) where you train and learn to use your powers before you take a test to see if you go to Gyude or Alasï. My parents married in Walitopimania, before they split up when my dad got a villain on his aptitude test. His name is James, and he wants to take over.... Everything."

  "So when James first went to Alasï, he immediately trained 10x more than any other villain. He planned to kill the current ruler of Alasï and become ruler himself, which he did. He then started making plans to attack Gyude, which everyone there helped out with. On March 14, 2000, which I wish I didn't remember so visually, he launched his attack. Many heroes attempted to fight back, like me, your mom, and Mary and Mackenzie's parents." FUDGE! My mouth dropped even further at the mention of my friends, even though I didn't think it was possible. This was so new, it had to be fake! I thought this until I recalled turning into a freakin' bush. My heart pounded fast as I filled with anger from not knowing this sooner, relief that my "special abilities" have an explanation, and... Excitement.
   "When things got really rough, we left Gyude and came to Earth, which was illegal, unless you went for a short period of time because of a villain attack. The reason we came to Earth was because James said that once he took over Gyude, he would take over Earth, and we came to protect it."

MARY

  "So why are you telling me this now?"
  "Because he plans to attack  soon. And he knows that we are here, but not you. And I need to know, do you have powers?"
