EMILY
(Yes, this is before the thingy with Mackenzie)
I get out the prophecy, quite a few scrolls rolled together. I go over to my bed, which is against the wall in the corner of our room. I roll it out an see lots of drawings with little captions underneath them. The first page shows a picture of what looks like war. Except, people don't have guns, they have powers.
"War was raging between Gyude and Alasi." It says, underneath. The next picture shows a ship, not that big, with people running towards it. "Only one ship takes our heroes to the safety of Earth." Next, is a picture of toddlers. "Select few of those people will bare a child, one named Emily, one Mackenzie, and the other Mary." This is creepy. I think. I flip the page over and it shows Mackenzie with bolts of lightning shooting from a hand, with the other on her hip, Mary holding up a car with one hand, and a butterfly next to them. I'm guessing that's me. "They will have morphing, electricity, and strength." The next few pages explain what has already happened, like us becoming best friends and coming here. The next picture that grabs my attention is one of us, standing up straight in a purple sky. "The three are immune.."
Knock, knock. Yay! Someone's at the door! I roll up the scroll as I hear thumping, which I'm guessing is Mackenzie and Mary racing to the door. As I put it under my bed, I hear,
"Aralyn! Hi!"MACKENZIE
I'm awake, but my eyes are still closed. I don't want to get up, but I'm very uncomfortable, and there is something like a strap on my neck. I open my eyes and try to stretch my arms above my head, but they are stuck. What? I look around and see that I am in a car, a van to be exact, and my arms are tied. I'm sitting on the right side and next to me is someone who is looking out the window. I notice their arms are tied around their back too. I cross my eyes and see that I have a cloth around my mouth, so maybe they do too. I'm being kidnapped. Obviously. Why? What happened? When did this happen? Why did I go to sleep? What a dumb decision. I make a quiet cough-like noise and the person sitting next to me turns around. Maybe they can give me some answers. They, well she looks at me with relief and excitement. She looks familiar. I see her eyebrows go up as if she is smiling.
"Mmmmmmm Mmmmmm mhmmhmm." She says. I tilt my head to show I'm confused. She sighs and looks out the window again. She then slumps back into her chair an looks at the back of the seat in front of her. She quickly tries to pull her hands out, so I back off. Why does she want to hurt me? I thought she was on my side. Utter surprise crosses her face. Her eyebrows raise and she tries to gesture to herself. What is she trying to say? She slumps back and I see her eyes water as she looks back out the window. What's up with her?MARY
"She just came in and took her and she kicked and she wouldn't let go and I told her to shoot but she didn't and so I ran but she closed the door and..."
"MARY! Calm down. Who came and took her, Mary?" I take a breath. I don't want to talk about this.
"Aralyn." I say.
"Who's Aralyn, Mary?"
"Mackenzie's old friend."
"Obviously not anymore. Why do you think she did this, Mary?"
"James took..." I stop. Did Violet tell me not to say anything? I can't remember. Oh well. Here's my revenge on that stupid freakin'...
"James took what Mary?"
"James took over her." I'm in a dark room talking to a person I don't know. Perfect.
"Why do you think she took her, Mary?"
"I don't know, maybe she just ordered some pizza and he wanted some. Why do you think she took her, Sherlock?
"Just answer the question, Mary."
"Well, why wouldn't he want one of us? Just gives him an advantage in this war. And quit saying my name after every question."
"It says in the rule book that I must, Mary."
"It does not! You liar! I suddenly realize that I am not tied to this chair, so I stand up and get in her face. "And why you gotta do it so professionally? Why couldn't you just come up to me and ask the important questions?" Then I whisper: "why do you think she did that?" mocking her voice.
She lets out a breath and says,: "Why do you think that would give him an advantage, Mary?" Every time she says my name I want to punch her in the face.
"Every time I hear your stupid voice say my name, I wanna punch you right in the face."
"Oh, you and I both know you won't. Mary."
I punch with all my might square on her nose. She flies across the room and makes a dent in the wall.
"I believe you and I both know you are certainly wrong, ma'am." I add with a smirk smile as I walk toward the door, only to find it's locked.
She gets up, seeming unhurt, and says: "Ma'am, you are the strongest person with strength, and the easiest person to make upset. Did you really think that we didn't think about you storming out or trying to hurt me, Mary? I'm in here because I heal myself and others instantly. Mary."
Oh ho ho!!!!! Let me punch this door open!!!! Let me punch her open!!!
"Well, if your so smart, you can think of your own answers cause I won't give you any. I don't even know why this is so important to you. Just ask someone else. And again, why is this so professional? It's not like I murdered anyone!" Although if I did, I would murder you. I think.
