EMILY
I've been having weird dreams again. In my last one, a weird ship came down to our house that changed into a car once it landed. My dad yelled, "They're here!" He came into the living room and grabbed two suitcases that I hadn't noticed earlier. "Come on, Emily!" He said as he quickly and excitedly ran to the door.
"But where are we going?" I asked frantically.
"Gyude, of course!" He said. "And don't worry. Your friends are coming too!" I was still confused, but not one to disobey. Sadly, as soon as we got in the, um... 'thing' I got airsickness and woke up from the dream.
I got up and tried to forget about it, because I needed to get ready for a Friday at school. But it stuck in the back of my head. I couldn't think about anything else, unless I focused 210%.
It is now lunch (and we luckily have free-seating, where we can sit where we want) and Mary and Mackenzie are talking. I am pretending to read on my phone, but all I can think about it that stupid dream. Why?!? Normally I won't think about a dream for so long, normally I don't even remember half of it once I wake up.
* * * *
When I get home, I place my backpack down and try to remember what I have for homework, but it is really, REALLY hard to think about anything else but that stupid, fudge-nugget dream! I lay down on the couch and think about taking a nap, but I realize that I might have another dream. I think about it for a second, then decide I would rather have any other dream than this one in my head. I lie down, and quickly knock out.
When I wake up, there is a beautiful sunset outside, so I sit on the couch, and look out the window. The sky is mostly dark red about half-way up the horizon. It then begins to turn a warm orange, and gently melts into a yellow higher up. I get so excited when I see a shooting star, and make a wish, even though I'm not superstitious, that I forget this dream. But soon, the star gets closer and closer to our house. I start freaking out, and think that I haven't woken up yet when the star turns into a ship that turns into a car once it lands. No, no no no no no no! This can't be!!!
"They're here!" Yells my dad. No!!!!! Uh uh! I see him pick up the two suitcases and get wide-eyes. "Come on Emily!" He says with the same stupid grin I saw before.
I think about the possibility that if I don't respond the same, that maybe this will change. Instead, I say the first thing that comes to mind.
"But where are we going?" Fudge-nuggets.
"Guyde, of course!" Ugh. I am powerless against this now. How wonderful! I get into the ship, and, as expected, got airsick.
Mackenzie was the first to join me in my misery. "But I have a project due tomorrow! And I worked extra hard!" She complained. The troubles of an overachiever.
"Well, it's worthless now! Might as well burn it!" I say rudely, only because I'm mad. Both of our faces go red, and we sit in silence, waiting for Mary to cheer us up.
As soon as Mary gets on, she says "Ballin' man! I hadn't even started on that project for tomorrow, and now I don't have to start it!" with a smile on her face. I'm still mad, but Mackenzie has lightened up. The two of them talk the rest of the ride, while I go into another room and sleep.Sorry this is little, I just made it when I had time to today.
Hope you like it!
