MARY

Im upset that I've finished my waffles, because they're the best I've ever had. I wish I could go back in time and eat them all over again. Sadly, I have no time machine. Only powers.
About an hour later, I'm ready for a place that has more than four rooms. "How much longer till we get there?" I ask my mom.
"7 days. It takes awhile to get to another planet, you know." Ugh.

               ******************
So for a week, we walk around, talk, eat delicious food, talk, play childish games, and talk. Did I mention we talked? I get really bored on the 4th day, and start counting down the minutes till we jump off this thing.
On the last day, I'm jumping all over the place with excitement and talking really loud and really fast.
"Will you stop?" Begs Emily. Her face is green, and I can tell she's getting airsick.
I stop hopping and just flail my arms instead. "Okie." She looks relieved, and goes to sit on the bed, holding her stomach. I then her her whisper:
"I'd jump off this thing right now just for a good book. Heck, even a bad book."
"Oh you want a story? Ok." I say sarcastically as I take a seat next to her. "There once was this butthole named Dean and this sweet angel named Cassie. Dean did something stupid and Cassie got mad. But, as the butthole he was, Dean said: 'What are you gonna do Cassie, the hokey pokey?'"
She laughs her head off screaming, "MARY IS INSANE! LORD HELP US ALL!!" as I do the hokey pokey. Sadly, my mom walks in right at that moment and I instantly stop, my face switched to red, but Emily's laughing gets louder.
"Grab your stuff cause we're just about there." Yaaaaaaaaaas!
              ************************************************************
Mackenzie walks off first and almost just stands on the little staircase that we are getting off of, looking out, and blocking the rest of  us. She quickly shakes her head and keeps moving. Emily gets off next and says, "Wow! It's not at all what I pictured, but wow!" I step out, and see that the ground is replaced with poorly placed cement, and that there is no grass anywhere. The cement folds over, and fills in ditches, like it's only a thin layer over the ground. I then look up to the sky. It's greenish-blue and a little bit of purple hints in some places. Ah, purple, my favorite color. I look at the ground again and see that the road is just a little flat indent in their cement. The buildings look normal, though, it's not like these people are aliens or anything.

EMILY'S DAD
I step out of the ship, seeing the land of my nightmares. Even though this is Gyude. I remember that day so vividly.

"I can't.... Keep... Going.... Much longer." I say. My wife running. Holding little Emily. I think my lasers have killed enough of them, but they keep coming. So many of them. So many. So many of our people killed. But so many of them. One small ship. We run. We make it, but so many don't. We fly away but so many don't. So many.

I recognize the purple in the air. He's still here. I don't know why I'm surprised. He uses it to control these people. We all put on masks, and then put them on the kids. When we explain why they're there, their expressions change from pure excitement to pure fear and worry.

            MACKENZIE
I make sure to keep the mask tight on my face. I turn around to see my mom shaking. She does not want to see him. Emily's dad leads the way to the tallest building I can see, which isn't too tall. When we go in, my mom puts her hand on the wall and a door appears and opens. We all go in and are greeted by a man in a mask. He stares directly at Mary and says, "You finally decided to show up, huh?" She looks at him and is confused. He is tall and wears a lab coat. His hair is black and has high amounts of grease that push it to the left of his face. He is slightly muscular, but also skinny.
The room we are in is circular, will many doors along the walls, all labeled. In the middle is a wide pipe with blue goop floating in it like in a lava lamp. The purple walls are dimply lit with blue from this.
He looks at Emily and I and shakes his head. "You are the ones." He smiles widely. "Follow me." He gestures toward a door that says 'TRAINING' on the other side of the room. We all obey and follow him into the room. In it, is an extremely long hallway with more doors. Each lists a specific power, like lasers, or telepathy. I scan for the one that says electric.
"I know from the prophecy that Mackenzie and Emily have double powers, correct?" What? I think as he says this. There is a silence, and he turns around. He tilts his head like a dog and says, "Correct?"
I turn to Emily. She quietly says, "Yes."
"What?!" Mary and I say in unison. I begin to question if I had another power.
"My dreams. They tell the future." She says.
"Ah! Yes. Just as in the prophecy. This leaves flying to Mackenzie I assume." Flying?? I can fly?
"Well, if I can I haven't done so yet." I quietly say. I'm worried that this means we're not so special anymore.
"Ah! Not a problem, not a problem at all! See, we teach young heroes how to use their powers down here. We can simply teach you how to fly." He says with a grin on his face. I can tell he's a perfectionist. He is so excited that everything is 'as in the prophecy'. I can fly. This is so cool! I excitedly search for, and find, the door that says, 'FLIGHT'.
He pulls something that looks like a walkie-talkie out of his back pocket, pushes a button, and puts it back. "Three very highly trained trainers will come to greet you momentarily. Each will acquire one of your skills and teach you how to use your powers." He says. Just as he says this, three girls, looking to be in their early 20's, appear. They are all wearing long lab coats and have dyed hair. One is purple, one is red, and the last's, is blue. "Lady's, meet Amanda, (red haired waves) Violet, (purple haired waves) and Isabelle, or Izzie." (Blue haired waves.)
"Mary, your trainer is Violet, Emily, your trainer is Amanda, and Mackenzie, your trainer is Izzie. Go along to your training rooms, we don't want to waste time." He says with an over-sized smile, and superspeeds all the way to the end of the lengthy hall.

EMILY

Amanda shows me to a room that is titled, 'MORPH'. Inside, the walls are made of chalkboards containing a picture of a person, a list, probably explaining how to morph, or how we morph, and a bunch of notes, while one walls board remains empty. In a corner, I see I bucket full or random items, which I assume I will be morphing into.
"So what do you already know?" She asks, taking me back to reality.
"I know how to morph, but not how to morph back, and it takes me a while to do so." I say. I feel like a little kindergartener, asking my teacher how to add when it is the easiest thing for everyone else.
"Ok." I just now notice how calm and pleasant she is. She is not bored with me, as if she has done this a million times. I also notice how much she loves the color red. She has red hair, bright red lips, red nails, red eyeshadow, everything. "Go ahead and chose something in that basket over there to morph into."
I turn to the corner and stare at the items. Most of them are stuffed animals and action figures, so I quickly decide on a stuffed lion. I pick it up and take it over to her. "Good choice." She says. "Go on." I squeeze it in my arms, and see the lion in the blankness of my closed eyes. It gets pulled and squished, until it turns into me.
When I open my eyes, I am very close to the ground. Unlike with the pillow, I can walk on my plushie legs. Next to me is the original lion, laying still. Amanda now holds a red clipboard and a stopwatch and is writing something down. I guess it's how long it took me to change. She looks down at me and smiles. "Good! Now I will show you how to change back." She gently picks up the original lion and morphs into it as soon as she closes her eyes. Wow. I think. I hope I'll be able to do that that quickly!
There are now three plush lions on the ground, including me. "Now all you have to do is hold the original, and do the same thing." This looks like a child show, the way I see her mouth move. She walks over to the lion, holds it, and morphs back. "See? Now you try." I do the same thing she does, only it takes longer. When I am back to me, I see she is writing on her clipboard again. "Great job! You did way better than any of our other beginners! Now, we just speed it up. The more you morph, the faster you will get." She smiles. I wonder if they are required to be this nice. Or to smile this much. But I smile back.
