EMILY

We have trained our guts out for the past month. I've learned to morph in a snap, I've learned that anytime I can't control how much I think about a dream, it's coming true soon. Mary's learned how to control her anger, which, by the way, she can get angry easier with her powers. She also learned how to put certain force into her punches when powered up. Mackenzie has learned how to shoot for long periods of time, how to throw it further, and the force of each bolt. I never thought we could learn this in just a month.
Everyday, after 4 hours of practice, we go to an underground home, which includes a kitchen, a gym, (we gotta strengthen more than our powers!) two bathrooms, 4 bedrooms, (only one for the kids) and a loft. We all use the gym quite often, cause we have nothing else to do.
No one in the three of us is as energetic as we were before we knew we couldn't go to Earth again unless we were there to save it. I wonder what everyone thinks of our sudden disappearance. I know it's rude, but I kind of want James to go ahead and attack so we can see everyone again. I'll bet Mary wants to see Lance. Mackenzie just looks physically broken because she can't see her dad and her sisters. It's like she's going through a divorce. Mary's lucky because her entire family got to come. My mom stayed home with my brothers, but I'm more used to it because my parents are already divorced.
35 people have inhaled the purple gasses since we got here. It's gotten stronger too, it starts breaking down the masks and creates tiny holes in them. Mary, Mackenzie, and I hold our breath and change them twice a day.
I want to read the prophecy. Partially because I want to know all about it, and also because I need to read something. So after practice with Amanda, I went over to the man who guided us down here. (the one with super speed)
"Excuse me, sir?" I asked. He took a moment, probably writing something down, then turns and puts on a likely forced smile.
"Yes ma'am?"
"Where could I read the prophecy?" His smile changed and he turns to a whisper as he leans in close.
"You have no need to read the prophecy." He says.
  "I want to know what's..."
"YOU HAVE NO NEED. No one does."
"You don't think being part of it allows me to read it?" I question. I feel so sassy and dominate, like I'm fighting a big six-year old who is set on his ideas. He looks at me, I can tell he's annoyed and exhausted.
"Ma'am. It is not good for you to read it. I forbid you." He looks like a lawyer now, one that just gave evidence on how his opponent was stupidly wrong.
"I forbid you." I mock him. "Well you can't stop me. I could be anyone or anything." I give him a smirk smile and walk away, proud of myself.

I'm in my bedroom, I've caught a butterfly and it's in a jar. I leave a note that says: "DO NOT RELEASE BUTTERFLY". I open the jar and hold the butterfly gently by the wings. I instantly morph into it and exit out of a hidden hole I made so the other can't get out so I can morph back later. I get out and fly around. I feel so free, like I've been squished into a mold that was too small my entire life, and I've just been released. Everything is enlarged, and in so much more detail. I fly until I see the library. I go in and see walls lined with, and isles created with, book shelfs that are as tall as the building itself. I suspect that since the man 'forbids me to read it' that it will be hidden somewhere, if it's even here.
The first place I go is the very back. I fly around the end shelfs and can't find it. "Hunger Games, Huckleberry Finn, The Help..." But no prophecy. I continue to fly higher and higher, until I see the top cover of the tall shelf. It has a medium sized book with the title crossed out. That's it! I fly around, and look at all the books on the very top. In the front, right corner, I see a scroll. Yes! Of course since a butterfly can't carry much, I fly back to our house, and morph back.

When I'm back to myself, I walk to the library. It's a lot farther than I remembered, and a lot colder. I go back and grab my red jacket and head out.

Sorry this was so short... But I might update more cause I have nothing else to do while sick. 🤒
