MACKENZIE
We eventually find a small ship, and it looks like a mouse compared to the one I first rode in. There are two seats, and Emma jumps in the drivers.
"Do you really know how to drive this thing?" I ask.
"No, but if I mess up, I can just go back and do it again, right?" She says. Oh yeah, let's just crash this thing 50 times. Great.
(TIME PASSES) (TRUST ME)
It seems like she got it right first try, but when she says, "Finally!" I can tell she's been at it for a while. We are up in the sky, and I ask, "How long will it take?"
"Only one-and-a-half-hours." She says.
"So what's your plan once we get there?"
"I brought more shots of different powers." She says, as she pats a black messenger bag I didn't recognize until now. "We need to build a larger and stronger army. James has a lot of people under his influence. The only thing is, they don't have powers. If you are fully under his control, you're powers are no longer accessible. That's why his guards were shooting us with guns, and not laser eyes, or something. It'll be a quantity vs quality battle."
"Seems like a big advantage." I say.
"Seems like it, but James is having his scientists work on a way to give them shots too. Then, they will be stronger than us."
"So let's go back and trash the place."
"Your electricity started a fire, a big one, I must say. I saw it when trying to start this thing up." She says, still completely concentrated on flying.
"Is that enough to destroy the powers tubes, or.." I ask.
"They were probably the first thing they evacuated. Maybe even them before some of his workers. He can... just get new ones, ya know?" She answers.
Man. This guy is hungry for power. Not just hungry, starving.EMILY
What the fudge? Mackenzie is all the way over at Alasi? Man, it's been a while since Aralyn took her.
"How are we going to get over there?" I ask.
"Whoa!" Jack says. "Slow down. She escaped, remember? I don't know where she is now."
"You idiot!!" Man, I really hate stupid people. I wanna squeeze his arm and rip it in half. "How could you be so stupid? Why didn't you go over there when you knew where she was?"
Jacks face turns pink. "I'm, I'm sorry. I didn't know you'd be so upset.."
"Well I am ok?"
"Jesus, Emily, calm down." Says Mary. She's right. I should calm down. I wonder how pink my face is now.
"This is no time to freak out. And doubt is a luxury we can't afford, so how do you know it was her that escaped? And how do you know she's not just being taken somewhere else by James?" Mary asked.
"Simple! Because I have put a tracking device in her neck!"
I face palmed so hard that I almost broke my glasses in half. I went over to Jacks computer and found his tracking app-thing, which showed a 3-D version of the Earth, and a list of names off to the right. I scrolled through the list until I found Mackenzie. I clicked on her name, and the screen turned red, and a notification showed up, and it was asking for a password.
"Uhh... Jack, what's the password?"
"Oh, umm... it's... Soriel33."
I let out a roar of laughter, wishing Kenzie was here to get the joke. I typed it in, letting out a little chuckle here and there. The background turned green and the notification went away. It zoomed out of Earth, blacked out, and zoomed into a red-ish planet, with the title, "ALASI" over it. It zoomed in somewhere, and showed a red dot, flying across the sky.
"Is she flying somewhere?" I asked.
"Well, if so, someone's flying with her. See that purple dot next to her? That's another person that I don't have a tracking device for." Jack answered.
"Try zooming in further, so you can see their faces." Mary suggested.
I clicked on a magnifying glass in the left corner of the screen. The dots stopped moving, so I guess it was "paused". I zoomed in on the red dot, and sure enough, it was Mackenzie. She looked... worn out. I moved the screen over to look at the purple dot. It was a familiar face...
"Big Emma?" (We call her big Emma, not because of her size, because Mackenzie has a younger sister named Emma who goes to our school. We call her little Emma and the other Big Emma so we don't get them confused.) Big Emma! "Hahahahaha! Who would've known?" Yup. It was surely her.
"But, why is she here?" I ask.
"Bruh, she has powers too." Mary said.
"Thanks, Sherlock. How could we of figured it out without you?" I say, sarcastically.
