                      MACKENZIE
I'm still in this bed, still chained down. I'm getting very claustrophobic. I hear the double doors open and two female nurses come in, one with a cart. Their eyes are purple and their mouths are taped shut, so I can tell they are being controlled by James. They come in and rip out the tubes from my arms and it burns like lava. I gasp for large amounts of air instead of crying out, so they don't think I'm weak. More blue goop like what's in the tubes oozes out of my body, and I turn away. I wish I could hold both of my arms and squeeze them tight, but I'm still chained.
They remove the wires from the tubes, seal the holes, and load them onto the carts. There's so many with so much. I think to myself. I didn't know I had that much power. It's all gone now. All except for the tiny bits that are oozing out of both my arms. Hey, that means that some is left in me! I try to create a ball of electricity, but I'm too weak. Crap! (Yes readers, this is the closest I will ever come to cursing) Crap crap crap!!! I can't do anything! It's one thing to be chained here and claustrophobic, but to also literally not be able to move!!! I feel my ears burn with fire as I try not to let tears roll. And the tears they rain, on your parade! I can hear Mary saying that right now. I'd kill to see them again. Specifically kill James. I'd kill him any day.
Speaking of the devil, the nurses leave and in comes James. "Hello again, Mackenzie. It's been a while. Yes. Oh! And I made sure the nurses didn't give you any water, so now you can't spit on me! The little self-defense you had is now gone! Might as well give in now."
"You might as well shut up now, cause I ain't sayin' or listen' to nothin'." I say as I turn my head and face the wall so I don't have to see his hideous face.
"Ahh. I see that while you have lost your powers, you have gained some sass. How heart-warming. Now, onto important things, I will be asking you questions, you will answer them, and nobody gets hurt? Ok? Ok." He pulls up a chair on wheels right next to me, and I feel like I am in the worlds worst therapy session right now. I don't bother to look back at him as he asks the first question.
"What two powers do you have?" I don't answer him. "I'm sorry, maybe you didn't hear me, I asked, what powers do you have?" I keep silent, and he scoots up right next to my ear and whispers, "You will answer my question or I can give you a taste of your own medicine." I can't risk getting shocked in my state, plus he already knows the answer to this question, so it's not like I'm giving away any information.
"Let's start over." He says. "What are your powers?"
"Flying and Electricity." I say. He scribbles something down on a clipboard.
"What about Mary?"
"How do you know about her?" I ask.
"Ha! Don't waste time joking around with me, you know I know so much more than you. "
"Then why are you asking me questions that you already know the answer to?" I ask. He scoots closer looks into my eyes, hard and long. Eventually, he smiles and settles back into his chair.
"You're right, I should ask questions that I need answers for. So here's one. What is your deepest, darkest fear?"
I think for a minute, death of family, being kidnapped, darkness, drowning, war, unexpected bombing, tornadoes, hurricanes, many things! The unknown!!
"Clowns." I say. He looks at me and laughs. "Really! They look like murderers that are just hiding behind this mask of innocence! They'll knock you out will the bowling pins they juggle then drown you with water from the flower on their costume!" Fake fake fake I think to myself.
He stands up and walks toward the messy desk, which I still wish I could fix.
"Well then. I guess we were both lying. I do know the answer to that question, and it's certainly not clowns. You've never even seen a real clown." He picks up a syringe out of a drawer filled to the brim with them, and fills it up with a strange red liquid. He turns back to me, holding the syringe next to him. "I've heard you don't like the darkness." He says and stabs the needle painfully into my neck, and all goes black.

It seems like I only blinked, but I can tell I was asleep, still am. I open my eyes and see.... Well, nothing. It's like I'm not even opening my eyes. It's.. Ok. It's ok. I try to tell myself. No.. No it's not! I immediately begin to panic. I need to know what's here! I need light!
My insides melt and the burn and freeze at the same time. I fall to my knees and crawl on the ground. I hold my hand along the wall, trying to feel for something other than the stupid smooth walls. I change between opening and closing my eyes, sometimes I can't even tell when I have them open and when I have them closed.
I'm shaking and sweating and almost already tearing up from fear. Please! I beg you!! Give me liiiight!! Please!! Please!!! I feel the walls until I realize that I have gone in circles plenty of times. I shake as I try to stand up, but my left leg gives in and I end up falling face flat against the wall, then falling back onto the floor. I lie there, hot tears streaming down the sides of my face, and I try to stand again. This time, I rely heavily on the wall and walk all around it, hating the flatness of these walls.
Please!!! Where is the stupid door!!! Someone get me out of this!!! God, please!!! I hate it so much!!!! I fall back to the ground and crawl on one arm, with the other out to feel for anything. Please! Let there be something!
There is nothing, and I find comfort in between two walls. I sit there, begging, screaming even, to be let out.
"SOMEBODY!!!! PLEASE!!! ANYBODY, huh huh! GET ME OUT!!! GET ME OoOooOOOut!!!!!!!!!!!" I ball up in the corner and sob onto my arm.
Suddenly, I hear a rushing noise, and I immediately stop. I get up, going closer to it. It sounds like the ocean. As I get close to it, coldness rushes up my foot as I sludge through something. Water. This is water. I'm so thirsty. I run closer to its source and find a pipe. I shove my mouth in front of it, and chug. It feels like jumping on ice after walking on fire. My hair is all wet, and I lie down in the water, it feels good to stretch after lying down for so long. For a short amount of time, I feel better, but then, after a moment, I hear the rushing sound get louder. What? I feel as if my eyes get big as I realize, he's trying to drown me. You have certainly found my deepest, darkest nightmare, James.
