I hope Jermaine washed his nasty ass hands before he came home putting his arms around me, that would have made any other female mad if he knew the type of feeling she holds for him . Me though, I don't care . He don't care, neither do I . The next morning I made him get up and take me back to Julius so I could change, then I made him take my ass to work . I was let go early because the boss was making some emergency schedule changes . Julius must have been working or at school, I changed into one on Jermaine's gray long sleeve shirts I stole from him . I slept till mid day when I heard the door bell .

"Hi is Julius here ?"

"No, I don't know where he is . May I ask who I'm speaking too ?"

"I'm his father ."

I thought his ass looked familiar "He should be here within 30 mins or so, would you like to wait inside ?"

"Thank you ." he said stepping in

"Let me go put on some pants ."

I already had the man come in and wait on his son to come, I couldn't leave him in their by himself .

"You sure are beautiful ."

"Thank you ." I smiled

"How long you and Julius been living together ?"

"Close to a month ."

"He's a good man, I'd just wish he would let me in on his life a little . I didn't know he finally wised up and had a young lady living with him . I didn't even know where he lived, I had to go through a number of connections to get to him ."

"He's told me you talk here and there ."

"If you mean a year here and a year there then yes, it's not even that I don't want nothing to do with him . It's been hard ever since he was little, when he comes here . Guarantee you'll see a whole other side of me, we don't have that bond like I wish ."

"Maybe one day, I don't know I can't really speak on it . I don't even talk to my own father ."

"When's the last time you seen him ?"

"Fourteen maybe, he's been in and out though . I gave up on him a long time ago ."

"I been there for him, we just have our differences . When he got older he would stay with his cousins, I even let him go to school with them for a year so he wasn't with me . When he finally could go on his own, he left first chance he got . I'll admit I wasn't a good father after his mom died, kids don't understand the toll that takes on adults . I struggled and eventually gave up ."

"Well I wish I could say something more but my father doesn't even care for me, I damn sure don't care for my step father either . It's Julius decision, whatever you did I guess he has a lot of resentment for it . It's up to him to to look past it, if he doesn't want to then that's on him ."

How the hell did I just have a heart to with his father ? Not long after he started asking questions about me, nothing too personal . Really chill dude, after a while Julius stepped in holding a duffle bag and basketball .

"What are you doing here ?" Julius said

"I don't see you for a year, that's the first thing you say to me ?"

"I know I said I don't have rules, but I thought not letting in strangers would be common sense ." he said to me

"I have to get through everybody and they momma to get to you, you don't think that shit is messed up ? Sit down, talk to me, appreciate that I'm here ."
