Today is Friday which means Lauren gets to do what she usually does, watch movies, stay inside and have Normani & Dinah come over. Lauren was asleep and had to be in class at exactly 10:05 A.M. but she overslept,
Lauren had woken up at 11 and they stop letting students into school at 10:45 A.M.
"I guess blasting music and cooking it is." Lauren smiled at herself in the mirror.
Lauren headed to her living room and put Spotify on her TV. She started blasting Lana Del Rey songs and sang aloud not caring who could hear her. Lauren headed to the kitchen while singing, grabbing the pans she needed and mixing the mixes she needed to start cooking.
She started making her pancakes and eggs, still blasting to Lana, she heard a soft knock on her door. Lauren quickly stopped singing and paused for a moment not sure if she was hearing things or if there was actually someone knocking so she pressed pause on Spotify... Sure enough she heard a knock.
Lauren wasn't sure who could've been at the door. Normani and Dinah were at school, her parents had work so she was confused.
"Um just one second, please." Lauren yelled as she headed towards the door. When she looked on the side of the window she saw a short girl standing there with a suitcase and some bags in her hands.
Opening the door, "Can I help you?" Lauren asked politely. "Oh hi, yes um, is this apartment 240 B?" The short girl asked shyly, "If it says it on the door then yes, what do you need?" Lauren asked confusingly crossing her arms.
"Well, I'm here because I'm your roommate now." The short girl answered. "R-roomate?" Lauren asked. "Yeah?" the short one answered nervously.
It's not that Lauren didn't want a roommate because she did but she never thought of getting one so soon. She had barely settled down on her own, she wasn't expecting to get a roommate that quick but her college was big and a lot of people were gonna start coming so she needed to prepare.
"Um, come in and please excuse my mess, I didn't think I would have anyone over today." Lauren said picking up the clothes and the mess on the floor. "Oh its fine. So uh, what's your name?" The dirty blonde haired girl asked.
Lauren, who stared into the short girls eyes, and amazed by her smile. "I-uh, it's um Lauren, what about you?" Lauren said looking into the older girls chocolate eyes.
"Ally." the short girl answered. Lauren smiled softly at Ally. "Oh, um, your room.. Uh, your room is down the hall, the one before the last one. It's empty, but I'm sure you will see it." Lauren said trying not to make things awkward.
"Thank you." Ally said as she dragged the suitcase across the floor and trying to grab the bags all at once. "This suitcase is as big as you, here let me help..." Lauren giggled and picked up the suitcase and took it into Ally's room. "Thank you, Lauren." Ally said "No problem, the bed is already there as you can tell, I'll be in the living room.... eating if you need something, okay?" Lauren said "Okay." Ally softly smiled.
Ally started unpacking and Lauren headed towards the living room area. She picked up her plate and started eating her pancakes and eggs.
She put on an episode of American Horror Story and continued eating. She started thinking about Ally, she was living with a stranger. She didn't know what Ally was capable of and it surprisingly scared her, which was funny to her but also scary.
She decided to text her best friends, Normani and Dinah to let them know what was going on and what she thought of Ally.
