Chapter Twenty-Nine: Flabbergasted.

MINULAT ko ang aking mga mata. Kaagad kong naramdaman ang pananakit ng ulo ko. I think I need to remind myself to not drink again. This hangover is killing me!

"I'm glad that you're awake." Lorraine said as she entered the room.

I sat up and looked at the clock on my bedside table. It's six o'clock in the morning and I'm very surprised that I woke up early even though I drank last night.

"My head hurts a lot." I said in a monotone.

"Inom pa kasi." Aniya. Tumawa pa siya at walang pakundangang umupo sa kama ko.

"I swear I won't drink again." Dagdag ko.

"Talaga lang ah?" Nabaling ang tingin namin kay Liyah na nasa may pinto at naka-cross arms pa.

"Ganyan din ang sinabi mo dati J, but you keep on going to bars without us!" Sabi ni Kate na nasa likod ni Liyah.

Pumasok na sila at naupo. They keep on shooting dagger looks to me that made me frown.

"Why are you looking at me like that?" I innocently said.

Nagkatinginan naman silang tatlo na para bang I just asked an alien question.

"Wala ka na bang natatandaan kagabi?" Lorraine asked.

I tried to remember what happened last night pero hindi pa nagre-register sa utak ko ang mga nangyari.

"Ano ba ang nangyari?" I asked.

"Seriously? Hindi mo rin ba matandaan kung paano ka nakauwi?" Tanong ni Liyah.

Ugh, no?

"Sa tingin mo, bakit kami nandito sa unit mo?" Tanong naman ni Kate. Mas lalong sumasakit ang ulo ko sa mga tanong nila.

Then, slowly it hit me! I was in the bar last night when Nathan showed up and drank my drink and I went in the dance floor. Kyle was there too and we had a conversation!

"Let's go home."

"Don't be so stubborn Janella. I'll take you home."

"Baby, come on."

"Then fucking fall for me baby. No one's stopping you."

"Baby, I like you. I really do. I don't care what others say because you're the only one who's important. I'm willing to fight for you. I'm ready to risk everything just to be with you. Trust me baby. I won't let you down. Just give me a chance and I swear you won't regret this."

"Fuck." I dumped him and then I passed out!

"Yeah, fuck is it?" Natatawang sabi ni Liyah.

"He brought you home and called the three of us. Tapos umalis na siya." Pagkukwento ni Kate.

"And in case you didn't know, he kissed you in the forehead kahit na ang baho-baho mo na." Sabi naman ni Lorraine.

"What?" I said.

"Yup. And he also asked us to take care of his baby." Ani Liyah.

"So, ano na ba ang status niyo?"

Napabaling ako kay Lorraine. Then I looked at Kate and Liyah who looks like they're waiting for my answer.

"Walang status. Single pa rin kami." Malamig kong sabi.

"Single your face! He is so into you! Committed 'yun sa 'yo." Kinikilig na sabi ni Kate.
